This business is sending collection letter and threatening to report to *** if they are not paid. I have no recollection of doing business with them in last 5+ years.

Member(s) entered into a contract  on 11/05/2010. We have offered a Mutual Release for a reduced amount to help member in resolving their account with no further obligations.

Member has received yearly billings, re-billings, calls, emails along with weekly newsletters with current specials and offers. We have made multiple attempts to contact the member to help them either bring their account up to date to utilize the services they purchased, bring it up to date to sell/transfer as their contract states, along as the account is current and we approve the transfer or to close the account through a Mutual Release. There has been no response on the members part to resolve the account.

We are here to help the member in resolving the account. These members are no different than other members who have failed to pay as agreed and had previously never requested to cancel. These members simply need to contact our office to either pay their fees up to current to use the benefits or to sell/transfer their membership themselves just as their contract states with our approval of that sell/transfer or the other option is to contact our office to reach a fair settlement agreement to properly close/cancel through a Mutual Release document which breaks the current agreement then having no further cost or obligations.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I don't have membership with this business nor do I remember receiving any statements from them. I tried to contact them and left them voice messages to resolve the issue but I have not heard back. Please suggest if I should write them and include copy of letter in BBB communication. Since I am unable to stop this business from sending me letters, I am contacting BBB.

      Sincerely,

      ****** ******

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The statement from business is incorrect.
This account was cancelled within the first year after we signed up.
We DID NOT RECEIVE ANNUAL INVOICES for 10 years and then all of a sudden we got an invoice for 10 years all at once.  I called and talked with them and they continually said our account is still open.  It was supposed to be closed the first year.
We have not received weekly newsletters EVER from them with specials and offers.
We have not failed to pay for their services (WHICH WE HAVE NEVER USED) because this account was cancelled.

      Sincerely,

      ******* *******

I want my original contract sent to me in the mail so I can see that my signature is on the contract if that's the case I will pay it and close out the claim.  After that,  I want nothing else to do with this company. I am tired of receiving letters regarding this matter.  I have 6 letters and I have called them since receiving the first letter and they never responded or sent me the information I am requesting.  I want this matter resolved immediately.

They are attempting to collect on an account that we closed years ago. We don't want their services. It was 13 years ago. The account is closed.

I am rejecting this response because:
I absolutely have spoken with them and told them we had no intention of ever utilizing their services having already been taken for over $3000 and that I wanted to cancel. I will call again and then if they do not cease and desist I will be engaging with the ******** ******** ****** ** ***** where there have been numerous complaints about their business practices. It’s ridiculous that after so many years they insist on trying to get more money for something we tried to cancel the day after we made the worst purchase in our lives.

We joined a travel membership group in 2013. Never used it and cancelled the membership. We have now started receiving notices that we owe them another payment. The letters are threatening to report us to the IRS and to collections. I have called them to discuss this matter as we do not have a valid contract with them from 2013 nor can they provide one. The documentation they do have does not have financial terms in it that would have us owing them any money. They continue to send us these threatening letters though.

Member(s) did not close their account, member(s) did purchase a term membership, and agreed to pay annual fees for the set term, which they did not complete as agreed. We have provided the contract paperwork validating the debt owing already previously to Mrs. ******. Mrs. ****** even contacted our office after it was sent to her to discuss the account.

Member is simply trying to get out of a debt owing by making false claims. They simply need to contact our office to make the payment to fulfill their contractual obligations.

I (****** ******) am the personal representative to my mothers (***** *****) estate. She has received numerous letters from Sea Land Travel while living and after her death and now this letter purports to report her to the IRS. She cancelled any relationship with Sea Land Travel over 10 years ago, owing nothing, and this continued harassment and fraudulent claims need to stop. They have never offered any specific amount she owes. Further, as evidenced by their F rating with the BBB, Sea Land Travel is notorious for frauding people and making claims of debt owed. I want them to cease and desist immediately.
