The repair order # is J003388 and on my order I did not sign that I agree to the amount and they send me the bill with customer signature that is not mine, somebody sign it. And now they don't want to return my car if I ll not pay, and send the paper work to secretary of state to collect my car from me if I will not pay.

Customer initially towed the vehicle in which was in a non running condition. He wanted us to get the vehicle started as it was not running or was not able to start. We went ahead and did an inspection and noticed the Fuel Injectors were leaking diesel. We have then informed the customer of the leaky Fuel Injectors and have informed the customer that we have to start with replacing the leaky fuel injectors to get proper fuel pressure for the vehicle to start. We informed the customer since the vehicle was not started and it was towed in as a non running condition vehicle, there *** be other problems once the vehicle is started which we are not aware of. Customer approved the fuel injector replacement to start with and provided a $900 deposit towards the repairs, the repair total of fuel injectors was $1,376.85. When we have completed the vehicle repairs of the leaky fuel injectors, the vehicle started up but only stayed running for an hour and then it has died out. We then informed the customer that it *** have other problems which are causing the vehicle to die out. It *** have bad/ contaminated diesel or fuel problems so we suggested with inspecting the fuel system such as fuel filter, fuel rails and the diesel in the gas tank. We were not aware of other issues that *** be there until we start inspecting parts on the vehicle and go through the repair process on what we find that is bad. Especially since the vehicle was towed in as a non running vehicle. He approved to move forward with this service to see if it will help it stay running. We have noticed the fuel filter was full clogged and was dirty, so therefore we recommended the fuel filter replacement. Since the fuel filter was so clogged, we inspected the diesel in the gas tank, which we found to be contaminated, we then inspected the fuel rails, since the diesel was contaminated and fuel filter was clogged we figured it *** have affected the fuel rails as well. We have inspected the fuel rails and they were dirty/***** on the inside. Whatever has contaminated the diesel in the gas tank, has than affected the fuel filter and fuel rails which we recommended for replacement. We have taken pictures of the fuel rail inside with a specialty camera to have a reference of the dirty/***** fuel rail for the customer. We have also shown the customer the clogged fuel filter from his vehicle that we recommended for replacement. He approved to drain the contaminated diesel, replace the fuel filter and clean the fuel rails to run new diesel in the system. The fuel filter replacement approved by customer was $159.92, cleaning the fuel injector lines and fuel rails service was approved by customer which was $315.00 as well as the new 5 gallons of diesel costing $25.59 which was approved as well. The parts were replaced, the vehicle was started and the vehicle stayed running for a while. After sometime, the vehicle has died again and that is where we informed the customer we will have to do further inspection to determine what *** be causing this issue. We have informed the customer we have inspected the engine wiring/harness of the vehicle, everything checked out, we have inspected computer module of the vehicle and found no issues there. The total diagnosis for the first initial inspection of vehicle, then inspecting the fuel system, engine wiring/harness and the computer module totaled out to $525.00 now. Therefore, we have then informed the customer that this vehicle has other problems that will take more time to diagnose. He then declined to pay any additional funds for diagnosing the vehicle. The total approved services by the customer for the vehicle totaled out to $2,562.17 with tax included. With customers previous deposit towards the total, the remaining balance for the approved services was brought down to $1,613.42. Customer has then started to be unresponsive and stated that he does not want to pay for any services at all. Unfortunately after 60 days has passed with no payments towards his balance of the services he approved, we had to initiate the process of placing a mechanic lien on the vehicle with the secretary of state. We have not only provided the repairs necessary for the customer which he approved, but we have also have completed the repairs we recommended and the repairs that he approved. Therefore, any additional documentation that *** be necessary, pictures or anything else that needs to be provided to help prove our case, can be requested and provided right away. We hope this information helps understand that the customer has approved services and has not made any intention of providing payment for such services.

      Complaint: 20120561

I am rejecting this response because:
I read the letter from the mechanic about my complaint, but they did not include the fact that the mechanic didn't use the part that they used my card to order, nor did they give me the part that I paid for. They did not fix the car and do not want to fix the car because they claim they don't know how. Now they want me to pay for a service I did not receive. The signature on the invoice I was sent was not mine. It was signed by someone else. I did not approve any amount for the price of the service I was supposed to recieve. I would like my money back for the part that they ordered and not use it and my car to be returned to me. Thank you.

I am attaching a statements that I received and the letter. I would appreciate if this case was reopened.

      Sincerely,

      Hello,

We have provided services that were approved and were provided. The $900 deposit was a deposit towards the approved repairs. After we have completed the services, got the vehicle started that was initially towed in, in a non-running condition, there were other problems with the vehicle that could not be foreseen as the vehicle was towed in not running.  As previously stated, It *** have bad/ contaminated diesel or fuel problems so we suggested with inspecting the fuel system such as fuel filter, fuel rails and the diesel in the gas tank. We were not aware of other issues that *** be there until we start inspecting parts on the vehicle and go through the repair process on what we find that is bad. We have not only provided the repairs necessary for the customer which he approved to get the vehicle running, but also replaced the items that were found bad after the vehicle was running with his approval. On top of it all, on behalf of our company, in good faith, we have also provided as a ***** to try and find the additional problem for the customer of the vehicle not being able to stay running, an additional 18 hours of labor to try and get this figured out for the customer. The ***** items/labor we have provided for the customer were purely done in good faith, which in fact we never asked the customer pay any additional money for or we never even asked the customer to pay for anything aside from what was approved. We tried every option possible from our end to help in good faith. We have tried everything we can from our end and wish the customer has paid for the services we have provided, at the very least, especially since we have provided additional ***** services without asking for any compensation at all.
