World Wide Technology Raceway ran a scam back on Sept 16 2021 promising premium access to race tickets for the 2022 seasons race for their first Nascar sanctioned race in June 2022. Had to wait several months before these tickets were available for purchase. When they did become available, they only offered multiple days of tickets. I was not able to buy just a 1 day ticket, which is what I wanted. These did not come available until after this first offering, when anyone could buy just a single days ticket. I have contacted them several times, but still no response. I paid a deposit of $130 through Ticketmaster, which I contacted first, and they told me to contact the track. I have asked for my deposit refunded in full with no response to any of my emails.Business response

Mr. ****’s statement is in black and WWTR’s responses are in red.
World Wide Technology ran a scam back on Sept 16 2021 promising premium access to race tickets for the 2022 seasons race for their first Nascar sanctioned race for June 2022. Had to wait several months before tickets were available for purchase. The timeline was posted on multiple social channels and emails that weekend tickets would be available first followed by single day tickets. As a deposit holder, Mr. **** was granted an early pre-sale access code to purchase weekend tickets. I was not able to buy just a one day ticket, which is what I wanted. These did not come available until after this first offering, when anyone could buy just a single day ticket. Those who chose not to purchase weekend tickets were then sent a different pre-sale code for single day access prior to the general public. These emails were sent from ************************* in November and December.
After noticing Mr. **** had not utilized his deposit to make a purchase, our ticket office reached out with a courtesy email reminder on January 4th letting him know that tickets were still available for purchase to apply his previously paid deposit.
I have contacted them several times, but still no response. The only contact Mr. **** made with us was after we sent an email to him on January 4, well after he was made aware he could purchase his tickets. After receiving a reply on January 5th requesting a refund, our ticket office rep explained that the deposit was nonrefundable.
Mr. ****’s confirmation email from ******** states that purchases are nonrefundable. I paid a deposit of $130 through Ticketmaster (he must mean ********), which I contacted first, and they told me to contact the track.
While you are not committed to the same order as your deposit, the money paid would go towards your overall purchase. Deposits were a choice made to receive priority access to the pre-sale when the tickets went on sale. They were not required.
It stated in multiple places online that ticket prices would be determined later, and this was simply placing a deposit to receive priority for the pre-sale.
Since Mr. **** does not seem interested in purchasing tickets for the Nascar race that he placed a deposit for, we chose to issue his requested refund for his deposit of $130.00. This was processed 01/19/2022. This goes against our policy that all deposits are non-refundable. This is a one-time exception for Mr. ****.
Resolution: Refund issued
