I placed a $1,000 security deposit down on a hot tub, which the full purchase price was $12,000. I paid the deposit on 6/25/21 with the agreement that I would have my contractor build the space for the hot tub before I had Healthy Living Pools deliver it. With COVID, and the fact that my contractor was in a very serious car accident in the fall of 2021, I contacted ******* in the fall of 2021 to explain my project would be delayed. The agreement was that he could sell my hot tub and refund my $1,000 - or - I could just leave the deposit down and we would see how to handle things once my contractor recovered. A year later, my contractor has not recovered and I contacted ******* on 9/23/22 to tell him I felt uncomfortable leaving the $1,000 hanging and requested that he refund me the deposit and I would just purchase a hot tub from him once my contractor did the work. He told me he did not remember the transaction but would check his business records that day and contact me before end of day. ******* did not contact me at end of day on 9/23, so I sent him a follow up text and he did not respond. I sent him another text on 9/29/22 to inquire of the status, and he did not respond. On 10/3, I called ******* and he did not answer and his voice mail box was full so I could not leave a message. I sent a follow up text on 10/3 explaining that I would like him to contact me about the refund. He is not responding to my inquiries and I just want to have the $1,000 deposited back into the account of my original form of payment.Customer response
