First I need to emphasize that time is of the essence on this complaint as it involves a 15 day/500 mile auto warranty. The contract date is 2/27/24 but I did not pay for or take possession of the car till 2/28/24. On that date, as I drove home (150 miles) I became aware of a very audible whine when I took several sharp curves on the route. From personal experience with past vehicles I strongly suspect wheel bearing(s) issues. That evening I texted my sales person, *********************, about what I had experienced. He responded about noon time on 2/29/24 that he would talk to the service department as they had gone over the car before it was offered for sale, and get back to me. I texted him again the next morning (3/1/24) as there had been no call back. Around 1PM I called the dealership's main number and was informed that ********************* no longer worked there. I explained the situation and left a message with the receptionist (*******) for the sales manager, ***********, to call me back. She said he was with customers but reassured me he would call me back. I also left a voicemail with the *** ***********************. After waiting for a call back for over two hours, I sent ******* a text around 4PM stating that if no one called me back that day I would have no recourse but to escalate this issue to the ******** ************************** The dealership is open till 9 on Fridays but I received no call nor one on Saturday. The business is Gerald Kia of Matteson. I paid them $6,409.02 and financed $6,000.00 thru them. And they won't even call me to find a resolution to this issue??!! I am running out of time with this warranty because of their refusal to call me. If I drive back down it's another 150 miles and if they want to keep the car to work on I have no way back home. This is an absolutely shameful way for a big business to treat a low income senior citizen with chronic illnesses. Friday, I scheduled with *** of ******** to inspect the car on 3/8/24 ,their earliest opening.
