      GREAT CABINETRY WAS SUBCONTRACTED AND PAID FOR BUILDING A CUSTOM FRONT DOOR AND CABINET FILLERS IN DECEMBER OF 2022 (TOTAL AMOUNT ABOUT $11, 000). HE REASSURED EVERYONE THAT THE WORK WOULD BE COMPLETED WITHIN 6-8 WEEKS. SINCE THEN, HE HAS ONLY PRODUCED A MULTITUDE OF EXCUSES. IN SPITE MULTIPLE PHONE COVERSATIONS AND TEXT MESSAGES ALL PROMISED DEADLINES HAVE BEEN DISRESPECTED.MY EXPECTATIONS ARE FOR THIS COMPANY COMPLETE THE *** OR PROVIDE A TOTAL REFUND WITHIN 2 WEEKS.

      Dear Better Business Bureau,
      I am writing on behalf of Great Cabinetry in response to the complaint filed by *********************. As legal counsel for Great Cabinetry, we appreciate the opportunity to address the issues raised and provide clarification regarding the matter.
      It is noted that ********************* engaged Great Cabinetry in December of 2022 to build a custom front door and cabinet fillers, for which an approximate sum of $11,000 was paid. Great Cabinetry committed to completing the work within 68 weeks. We understand ******* frustration with the delays experienced in the completion of the project and the subsequent communication issues.
      However, it is important to clarify that the completion of the project was impacted by actions taken by ******* contractor. As per our records and correspondence, upon completion of approximately 75% of the work, ******* contractor retrieved all parts of the project and indicated an intention to finish the remaining work through another party. This action effectively precludes Great Cabinetry from completing the project as initially agreed upon.
      Regarding the issue of a refund, it is standard practice in custom projects such as this one that deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced, and transactions are considered final upon acceptance of materials or partial completion of the project. Given the circumstances and the actions of ******* contractor, it is not feasible for Great Cabinetry to issue a refund for work that has been substantially performed in accordance with the contract terms.
      Great Cabinetry values its reputation and strives to resolve issues in a fair and equitable manner. While we regret any inconvenience caused to *********************, we must respectfully decline the request for a refund under these circumstances. Nevertheless, we remain committed to addressing any outstanding concerns and ensuring a satisfactory resolution for all parties involved.
