I called ahead to put a deposit on a 2017 Ford Mustang GT. I went up the following few days to buy the car. I did not even have the car two weeks before the motor blew up. Upon having another Ford dealership running diagnostics on my car I found out my motor blew due to the oil being over full. I did not touch the motor to put oil in my vehicle seeming as I was buying a car everything should be in check. They are refusing to help with the costs, or pay in full, to get my motor fixed, even though this happened before 30 days of owning such vehicle. I did not buy it as is. I believe they should be held liable for this. I have tried working with them, but the absolutely refuse to even help.

      Business response

      To whom it may concern,
In response to the claim from Mr. ****** about the engine in his car. I have attached a copy of the Repair order where a factory trained technician performed an inspection and serviced the vehicle before it went for sale.  Furthermore the technician that serviced the vehicle actually drives the exact same model Ford Mustang and services these vehicles regularly.  I also after speaking with Mr. ****** went back and pulled the ticket when we bought the oil for the vehicle (we do not stock 5w20 motorcraft which the vehicle calls for) and we only purchased 8 quarts which is the exact amount this vehicle holds. Earlier in the day before the problem with the vehicle, my salesperson (***** *********) had followed up with Mr. ****** to see how his new purchase was doing. He told him he loved it and that he had taken it out on a country road and "let it eat" which is a slang term for hot rodding the vehicle. All of that being said, when the customer called and told me they were having trouble with the vehicle and that the local Ford dealer could;t get it in their shop for 3 weeks, I paid for the additional $300 tow bill to have it towed to the dealership that could get them in quicker. A few days later I received a call from the customer that the vehicle was "overfilled" with oil. The custom had put several miles on the vehicle at this point and if the vehicle was as overfull as he stated he would have had trouble long before this point. I believe that either another fluid from the engine had leaked into i.e. (coolant) making the engine oil appear overfull. Given the conversation with the customer from earlier in the day and after speaking with the service manager from the dealership that was diagnosing the vehicle we (myself and my service manager) came to the determination that the problem had been caused by abuse, not the actions of our factory trained technician.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

This is the correct reason as to why the motor blew. It is from a ford dealership.

      Sincerely,

      ****** ******
