I called Kevin ********************* Jr. ********************** and ************* about an issue concerning a floor drain in my upstairs bathroom. I explained, I thought perhaps there was an issue with the drainage. When Szabo completed their final observation, Szabo ********************** explained there was no issue/concern (nothing wrong) with the drainage. Infact Szabo stated that the drainage (water had gone down, and would continue to go down). So I said, OK...how much do I owe? Szabo said nothing, because we didn't do anything. But, you do have a leakage from your toilet in the basement. I went downstairs with Szabo ********************** and they showed me water on the floor. I was surprised to see the water, on the floor, which I had NEVER seen water on the floor previously...meaning before Szabo ********************** arrived. I asked everyone that uses the toilet downstairs had they ever seen water and everyone, including me said NO. No one EVER seen any water settling or running from that toilet until Szabo ********************** came that day on April 16, 2024. I even asked Szabo was that water on the floor when you went into the bathroom they said, Yes. Which just not true. I would have noticed the water or even stepped in the water and so would have everyone else My resolution: Since I do have the toilet. that I did not need, at all, I am requesting an adjustment of the amount $597.40 paid to Kevin Szabo Pumbling ,..adjust they payment to half that amount...$298.70...which is more than fair...since I was charged for a service/item that was not needed/necessary. Furthermore, the issue I initially called about, was not even an issue/concern at all.

They installed a water softener on 8-29-22 for $1500.00. On 9-18-22 they had to replace the control head on the softener as it was defective. The softener was not working. On 11-7-23 they had to move the brine tank from my garage to my basement. They said I had too long of hose for it to work properly. They charged me $250.00. Water was still semi hard using test strips. On 8-17-23 the tank developed small bumps and a crack. Water was all over my basement. On 8-22-23 they installed a new resin tank under manufacturer warranty. On 9-26-23 I called the manufacturer and explained that the water level was above the salt level. They had me take all the salt out by hand and drain all the water. Then I had to move the discharge hose to another location. Nothing helped, the softener was not working. I called another plumber and he installed another softener system on 10-9-23. I explained what I had been going thru and he just shook his head and said that obviously they didn't know what they were doing. I called Szabo and talked to a **** and explained that I wanted a refund. He said he would talk to the owner Kevin. Since then I have tried calling and left multiple voice mails as they are not answering my phone. I finally got thru to someone by using another phone and a ******* said she would talk to Kevin. I still haven't heard from anyone.

I called this company for a plumbing issue. The driver **** who came out to service my home was very rude and refused to listen to what we were trying to explain about the issues we were having. This exact same company came out for ** 2 years prior and was very compliant about rodding our pipes to clear the tree roots. However this time **** refused to rod the tree roots completely and wanted to force ** to get a $3,500 job. This job will not stop tree roots from growing in the pipes, only make his job easier at a greater cost to the customer. Overall **** refused to do the job he was paid for and took my money while my plumbing is still backing up in my downstairs. The receipt guaranteed a 90 day warranty and the company refuses to honor it. They could simply rod all the tree roots and be done, yet they are trying to hustle ** for $3,500 with a plumbing job plumbing that will not even resolve the roots from growing but just make their jobs easier. Plumbers are expected to do plumbing, but this guy was rude and basicaly refused to properly rod my pipes from the beginning of service. Now I am at lost of $425.00 and my plumbing is still flowing over in my basement bathroom. How is this fair? I paid $425.00 to get my pipes cleared and they are still full of tree roots. The job was ineffective and they still charged me! I'm at a double loss because now I have to call someone else to do a job that I've already paid for.

I called Kevin Szabo Jr Plumbing on June 11, 2021, due to water backing up in the tub and toilet at one of my rental properties. The plumber told me that because the house was on a slab foundation, he would have to remove the hot water heater tank under the kitchen cabinet, remove the cabinet, and jackhammer the concrete under the cabinet so he could expose the pipes and locate the problem. He told me after he fixed the problem, he would recement the area under the sink that he jackhammered up, let the cement dry overnight and he would come back the following morning to replace the kitchen cabinet and hot water tank. He gave me a quote of $2500. When he returned to do the job, he didn't do anything he said he was going to do. Instead, he removed the toilet, cut a hole in the wall behind the toilet and kitchen sink to expose the pipes and fix the problem. He charged me $2500. He never called me to tell me of the change and get my ok. He did not replace the drywall that he cut out and I had to find someone to replace the drywall and paint it which cost me an additional $250.Recently, I was contacted by the ********************* stating that Szabo pulled a permit for that job and never scheduled a final inspection and that I needed to schedule an inspection asap or I would be fined. I explained to the Village that I wasn't aware of any permit and that I already had the walls repaired. I called Szabo plumbing many times to speak to Kevin but he never got back to me. Then on February 7, 2022, I called them back to the same address because the tub and toilet were backing up again. They rodded the line and told the tenant that the toilet was cracked. They were the ones who removed the toilet! I believe they cracked the toilet when they set it in June. It looks like the bolt was tightened too tight because the crack is right where the bolt is. I also have questions about another job they did for $3000. I called many times but no one returns my calls.
