They take advantage of the elderly. The location listed is an empty store front. They refuse to return calls.

One star is too many. Quoted remodel and addition work for my house which turned out to be a nightmare. They initially quoted verbally, but didn't stick to their initial quote. Then they subcontracted all the work to scabs. MI demanded up front and interim payments and then never completed the work. Subs also repeatedly broke their delivery promises. I never knew when when subs were going to show up to work. One of MI's sales employees came into my house without notice or knocking at 9:00pm while I was getting dressed. While waiting completion, it appeared that the subs stole building materials (vanities, concrete blocks, grab bars, etc.). Some of the work completed had to be redone 2 or 3 times in order pass inspection and MI demanded more money for each rework. While contractors were working, they damaged things in my home such as window screens torn, carpeting tears, holes in ceiling, etc. I had initially asked for written quote for the entire remodel and addition but MI insisted that the quotes/contracts would be specific to each job, but they did provide a verbal total price that they did not stick to. As it is now, I still have an unfinished remodel/addition (holes in ceiling, no insulation. addition also has no plumbing or electrical, or heating). Contractors left heating ducts hanging open, dryer vent flows directly into basement, leaving me without laundry service. My last conversation with MI ended after they demanded another $40,000.00 and I had already given them close to $150,000.00, so I said "no".Review from Christopher B

MI Construction replaced an exterior door on our residence following a break in. A steel door and steel framed set with deadbolt was ordered in December 2019, and a 50% down payment was made. Two weeks later, the door was installed, and the balance PAID IN FULL. The keying of the deadbolt to match our existing key and locks was not for several weeks, and took numerous phone calls. Shortly after installation, within weeks, the door became difficult to secure. It was as if the door hadn't been hung right. After several phone calls, over several months (approx. 8 months), a carpenter was finally sent out. Turns out, not only was the door not hung correctly, there was no steel frame. This was noted by the carpenter, and more phone calls were made to the company. This was during the COVID shutdown, so that was given as the excuse why our concerns were not being addressed. The ability to secure the door worsened. More phone calls, more excuses. NO SATISFACTION. Finally, they stopped answering the phone. A certified letter was sent on August 24, 2021, demanding satisfaction. On a whim, I went down to the office at SouthPark, and found someone there. I related that a letter had been sent, and that we were requesting satisfaction within 30 days, or a full refund. Today, September 11, 2021, that letter was returned to me. Up until this time, I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I have been more than patient. I DEMAND SATISFACTION ON THIS MATTER.M I Construction Response

In response. The home owner wanted the new locks to match existing locks. We took locks to True Value to have them keyed to match existing locks in the home. We sent out our subcontractor to fix the issue with the door. The subcontractor said nothing to us about the door not being hung properly. He have contacted our supplier regarding a steel frame. Do to lack of materials at this time we are not sure when the frame will be in. As soon as I have a date I can show you the order.
