      I brought a ****** Rogue Select from Hiland Toyota on 07/06/22 with a Gold extended warranty. Around a month or so later I noticed issues with the noises in the car that would make random whooshing sounds here and there especially when the ** was running. I called Toyota for an appointment and they saw my vehicle and claimed it was normal car noises. ( I will try to find the documentation of that appointment). About a month ago I was driving to **** with my boyfriend to pick up my brother and he and I alternated with driving. After about ********************************************************************************** the ***** mph on the interstate. When I drove I noticed multiple points of deacceleration but when I drove in the inner cities where the speed limit is ***** , the car did not do that. Yesterday ( 6/27/22) I drove my car to my new job training which was to be in Peoria yesterday and today ( an 1hr and half drive from my home). I noticed deacceleration after driving 30+ minutes. It was a safety hazard at some points because I couldn't speed up when driving next to Semi's that where swaying on the road. When I reached my Jobs location in the cities and would be at a traffic light, the car would not accelerate after stopping for about 5 seconds until I put force on the acceleration. that's a safety hazard too. Today 6/28/22, I was driving to work, 30 minutes before I made it my car stopped accelerating and I pulled over and called Toyota road side assistance since I'm covered for that, my insurance couldn't find a nearby tow. When my car arrived they told me it would take about a day to get back to me, they called me about an hr. later and told me that my car had a P0744 code with torque converter clutch intermittent. Those repair's are covered under my warranty but they declined to fix it and told me to replace the transmission fluid which may or may not fix my car and pay about 300 because that's what ****** advised them to do, A rental was denied.

      I will just say I had an awful time with them. I took my car there because it was one of the “preferred” shops for my insurance. As soon as I started having issues, I absolutely regretted taking it there. The communication was nonexistent. I can’t even guess how many times they assured me they would call me back about whatever it was I was calling about again. I think they only called me once. I had to call them every single time to follow up and see what was going on. It took Weeks for them to get my car back to me by that point my rental car with the insurance had run out. First, it took them six days to get the estimate done while my car sat there. They kept telling me that they were planning on working on it and then somebody had started working on it but they weren’t there that day so they had to wait till Monday. Stuff like that. Then my car took forever they kept telling me they had to order parts. Then whoever was working on my car wasn’t there that day. Another time whoever was working on my car had to leave and wouldn’t be there the next day either. Another time, they had forgot to order certain parts so now they had to do that and wait for those to come. it was a total run around. After I finally got the car back, I was hearing some noises and wondered if something was loose under the car. I called the shop and they told me to stop by so they could take a look. Their version of taking a look was having the manager go for a ride with me. Of course, it didn’t make the noise while we drove the few blocks. He said he was going to review my paperwork to see if a certain thing had been done to see if that could be the problem and said he would give me a call. No one ever called me. At this point, I was so fed up I decided to just forget it so I didn’t have to deal with them anymore. I informed my insurance company of everything that happened. Also, communication between employees at the business was poor.

      Ms. ****** had her 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander towed to Hiland Toyota's Body Shop on 08/29/2022 with front, right side, and hood damage.   As wrecked vehicles are torn down, they very often find other damages, or parts needed, and these are called supplements.

      08/31/22 - An assignment was received from American Family Insurance which tells us the customer's name, the damages to the vehicle, deductible amount, and other pertinent information.  

      09/02/22 - Our Body Shop started an estimate.  With it being a Mitsubishi had to rely on another dealership to provide us with parts quotes.

      09/07/22 - Estimate was submitted to American Family Insurance, and the customer approved the work to be done.

      09/08/22 - American Family sent a supplemental request for more parts needed.

      09/19/22 - The vehicle came to the Service Department to install a wheel.

      09/20/22 - The Body Shop created another repair order for more supplemental work needed.

      09/30/22 - Came back to the Service Department to perform an alignment. 

      09/30/22 - Customer paid her deductible and the vehicle was finished.

      After Ms. ****** picked up her vehicle, she contacted the Body Shop with a couple of concerns.  One was with the washer fluid.  The under-shield cover was missing.  At the time our Body Shop did not know it was missing because it was not on the vehicle when it was towed in.  We created another supplement job, ordered the part, and repaired it.  They left her a message on October 13, 2022 that the part was in.  The second issue she had was a noise.  She was asked to bring the vehicle in when she heard it again so that our Body Shop Manager could go for a ride with her to determine what she was hearing.  She came in once and the vehicle was not making the noise.  She was told to come back anytime when the vehicle was making the noise and he would go for a ride with her, she has not done that as of this date.

      Ms. ****** was never without a vehicle.  When her rental coverage period was up with American Family, Hiland Toyota Body Shop provided her a vehicle at no cost to her.
