      I purchased an automatic battery charger 6 volt / 12 volt. The product worked fine for 3 years. It worked great as necessary maintaining the 6 volt system in my **** creampuff. Then it didn't. I saw the charging light switch from ***** to green and went to start my baby. Nothing and the battery didn't last long at all. I reconnected the SC1301 and charged it again. This time I measured the voltage at the battery, ***** volts. It charged my 6 volt system to ***** volts. I am concerned about the damage caused by Schumacher's, SC1301 over charging the antique 6 volt system. My car won't start and worst of all, Schumacher will not return my call.

      I am writing today to alert you to a significant concern about customer service. I have bought multiple ********************** battery chargers in the past and one of which was model SC1366. This model connected to your mobile app and now it doesnt. In fact, when I login it pops up with a message that you are eliminating the gateway used to connect the charger to the internet, and sending me a new charger that will connect directly to my wi-fi. The message then asks me to email you my charger ID# and ******* password, which I did on January 28, 2023. I then asked if the message was received on January 31, 2023, and then again on February 23, 2023and once again on March 17, 2023, all of which were sent to ********************************************************** I then forwarded those emails to ***************************************************** and received an immediate response that they forwarded my request to the service department and I should receive a response shortly.yet I never did. On March 29, 2023 I responded again that I still havent received a response which was now 3 months old.

      I bought this product at ******** not cheap. Looked good from package and their description so I bought it even though it was more than I had originally planned to spend. It is their ***** peak amp 150 psi battery pack and I spent over 180$ after taxes at ******** It worked great THREE TIMES but after having it for about 4 months it no longer holds a charge. It will charge to 100 percent but be down to 7 percent within a hour or two. I literally used it once to start a dead battery and then twice to air up a low tire and now its totally worthless. I mean it seemed great and I was relieved to have it in my car for emergencies but now it sits unused in my house. I have tried charging it more than once and followed the instructions exactly. I think this is totally unacceptable and would like a total refund. Thank you.

      The Schumacher warranty included with the product materials indicates that Schumacher will repair or replace a defective product within the warranty period and includes information on how to initiate a warranty return process. If the product is under warranty, the customer should take the necessary steps to return the warranted product. Schumacher does not offer refunds for products purchased from retailers. If the customer wants a refund, the customer should check with the refund program, if any, offered by the retailer from which he purchased the product.

      I am rejecting this response because: its been broke a while and I never new about a warranty or the bbb but of course you would not refund me for your overpriced crappy product that worked less than a few weeks before it broke. I hope a lot of people read this response and stay away from your generic brand. Do not by this brand. I will tell everyone I can how crappy they are and never purchase your brand again. Sad, Im a loyal customer and had high hopes for your brand. Piece of ****.

      I bought a battery charger from jegs March 2021 they have written that ********* is responsible for a two year warranty . It is in black and white on their website when you buy the item. Still there today. They wasted my time they are rude. They will not respect jegs claim of them having a 2 year warranty. They are a horrible company with a horrible product. Both chargers I bought with Schumacher name have broken after 1 year and barely any use. They do not have customer service . I am going to contact a lawyer for false advertising and not respecting the warranty that is as customers think we have . This has caused me to spend alot of time for nothing. It has caused me stress and has wasted my money apart from all of the stress. False advertising is against the law not just a hassle to the customer but absolutely against the law

      The warranty states that Schumacher will repair or replace a product against defective material or workmanship that *** occur under normal use and care during the two year warranty time period.  It does not say that the customer will receive a refund. The customer contacted ********************** customer service on the afternoon of Oct. 31st and the *** for her warranty return assessment was approved the next morning.

      I am rejecting this response because: That is not true. I said in the email which I have in writing that If they preferred, I would accept a refund. I have actually been calling for over 2 months and because it was not *** who I spoke to , I was given the run around. However, *** is a man of his word. I have to say that although my claim was rejected . Although the other associates were extremely rude, he actually listened to me and took care of the situation. *** informed me that he would have my charger fixed or a new one sent within 7 days to when It arrives. I was sent a return label and I feel this man went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with Schumacher. I can not say that of the customer service representatives.  *** is actually a very nice and intelligent man. I appreciate him and will withdraw this claim the minute my charger has been received.  Thank you ********;

      I called the customer support to report a battery pack that had gone bad in BEO1258. I explained that the internal battery had expanded so much the case was actually separating. I was then asked to sen in pictures which I did. Then about 5 days later I replied back to them, when I received no response. I was told they would sell me a SL1316 for $65.00. To me that is not a satisfactory response. This unit I have is obviously defective, to the point where the battery is swelling. I simply asked for the battery to be replaced. Did not want a new unit or refund. I was told they don't do that. If I was manufacturing battery products, I would definitely want to see why a battery was failing to the point it was actually deforming the outer case it was installed in.

      Schumacher Electric requests pictures of products that are claimed to be defective so that our Quality team may do an analysis and determine if any corrective action is necessary.  If it is necessary for us to have the product returned to us to do that evaluation we will do so.  This customer was offered a replacement product so that he could recycle or properly dispose of the allegedly defective product.

      Purchased new DSR 131 Pro Series charger on 8/24/21. Issues began within 3-4 months. I finally contacted Schumacher Electric Company and have had verry unsatisfactory Results. Unit paperwork states a 2 year warranty. From them Im told 1 year. Ok only 5 months old. I then am requested to send set of pictures of unit, proof of purchase, etc Then they want 1-3 days to review. This was done on 1/21/22. Four business days later, 1/27, I receive an email stating, your request is under review......please allow 1-2 business days for additional information. One minute later a second email requesting I resend one of the pics I originally sent. They claim it was not uploaded and they need a pic of front of unit to confirm that it is under warranty! After emailing them the duplicate pic, a follow up email containing all pics and originally requested info for the return was sent. I simply do not have time for these delay tactics. I have read about their history of inaction concerning warranty claims and will not play games. Our attorney is looking into the feasibility of a class action suit for the good of all those mistreated by a once well-respected name in the industry.I can not see a timely resolution in the near future with this company. They have not allowed me to call the service department, I have emailed them repeatedly, the time delays are inexcusable and unacceptable. At this rate months will pass, I will remain without a charger, and have lost faith in the brand itself. I am asking for a refund if they refuse, by their actions, to provide the legal relief stated In their warranty..Alternatively, an immediate replacement without further delays on their part!

I suppose the best resolution would be to have a reliable charger to use while the Schumacher, failed unit is being replaced.   I have received the replacement unit today 2/11/22. Lets see now how this one performs
