So called repair Not sure if you would call it repair i was charged over charged of ****** for a 2 second job i am not stupid I asked for a **** to be sent to me because of not having cash that was a oh I don't send a **** but seriously ****** for a job you were only here 2 minutes I can't believe someone would charge that type of money for 2 seconds job ***** is more responsible because its not like he had to go anywhere to get anything he had it in his truck and you couldn't give a Receipt or card nothing at all not good ****** learned i won t be calling *** back again something that was only being caulk was definitely over charged people and its totally wrong i will never ever use this company again ripping people off they should honestly give me my money back not honestly happy being over charged when I said ****** was a lot he looked kinda upset you were only here 10 minutes Taking advantage of somebody is wrong you can't tell how many people I met with you think your only person I met with just say again ****** learned never again learned so 5-3-22 now my roof is leaking once again and the problem is not fixed so i call him today to see if he could come out even tho i felt that i was ripped off for the 1st so called repair so i called him and he started yelling at me over this review because he has 5 kids and kids in college okay that is not my problem and kept yelling at me treating me like i am a child umm well look here ***** i am not no child and you are telling people that you would come out if it wasn't fixed well its not fixed and you got paid from the 1st visit to fix it was completely wrong even if i left this review its takes a lot more people to ruin a company then just one person and you should come out even tho this review was done because i paid you to fix it and it not fixed!!! *** doesn't back his work at all because a review wow wrong of him! He must live by reviews this is not how you.do business at all ***Business response

This complaint is not clearly written but I will just recount exactly what happened . I went over to do an quote on repair of an active leak. I quoted her $375. She got agitated, and nervously said she can't afford it. I made the mistake of trying to help by lowering my price to $350 and waved the ************ charge to help accommodate her. I explained in detail what I was going to do before getting started, she agreed, and then I did the repair. This was not a "2 second repair", it was not "over $350", and I didn't just "caulk something". I have been doing this 31 years so diagnosing and fixing a leak does not take long. This is what I told her I would do and did it. I lifted shingles to inspect for misplaced nails or other issues, then sealed a few nails that looked problematic. Next I lifted and sealed the joints between the shingles. I then added some fasteners and refastened some loose ones on the flashings. Next I resealed the furnace collars and electric service, I then resealed exposed nails and screws, I next sealed around protrusions and then I was done. I also explained that the service includes a return visit if the repair is not successful and added that there is a lot going on up there with old shingles and flashings so she may have other issues. After completing the work they asked about tree advice and wanted me to inspect their gutter which I did. I was over there for close to an hour. I forgot to give a receipt because we were talking about trees etc. It was normal transaction everyone was friendly and satisfied. Then later that evening I got a one star review on ******* She never bothered to call and ask for a receipt or call with questions. Then I get a call several weeks after a huge rainfall that she has another leak. I ask where and she says it's not in the same area but on a different part of her ceiling. I let her know that I fixed her leak and that if there is another spot leaking then it's a different leak. I also told her how her negative reviews hurt a family business and questioned if she got a competing quote because I know from experience that this was a good price to begin with.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:my roof was not Correctly fixed i was ripped off for something that was not fixed and as you can see i have pictures that it was not fixed right if you fixed it right i wouldn't of had leakes still and lifting shingles didn't do anything and you did not inspect the gutters like you said you did by inspecting the gutters you just looked up at them that is not inspecting them and forgetting a receipt is not an excuse yelling at someone is uncalled for i don't think your service was wroth it as again i have proof that you didn't do anything at all when i called you to come back out you standing yelling at me like a child.... telling people that you were on my roof longer then 2 seconds is a total lie... charging someone 350 for something that was not fixed should be refunded because i don't need to be taken advantage of by someone with no respect at all for a women..

I can not see any of these pictures from my iPhone. However, If this is my repair work then what the pictures do not show is 30 years of experience doing roofing work and at least 26 years of experience diagnosing leaks like hers. It also doesn't show the tedious inspection process of lifting shingles to try and locate the leak in the first place and this process starts when I first go on the roof to evaluate. I charge for that and I know from experience as should anyone that has been in her situation that I am inexpensive or at least fair in comparison to other licensed and insured roofing contractors. I also know I fixed the leak that she referenced because she called back during a heavy storm and said it leaked on a different part of the ceiling. If it leaked again in a different place then it was from another issue and thats not surprising due to the condition of her roof. I would have come out and fixed it for free had she not left me a 1 star ****** review the same day as the repair without warning, then a bbb complaint, and finally a cancelled credit card. Had she attempted to communicate before hurting my business like she did then I would have bent over backwards to help her. If anyone has read this far this situation is why more and more contractors will not touch small jobs like this and instead they attempt to upsell you or file a claim with your insurance carrier.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: We called to set up a time for our roof to be serviced after a leak was discovered in a light fixture. we sent photos of the damages, *** stated he was unable to view photos via his iPhone and that viewing photos are not apart of his practice at work. When *** came out to our home the only service he provided was a quick Caulking to the roof after the bad rain storm. *** did not provide a receipt of service or business card, he stated they are useless. After this we ended up getting another bad storm and the issue persisted after being fixed. I called *** again to see if he would come out and fix the initial leak the correct way. The reason for this was because *** stated that if we had any other issues he would be more than happy to come back out and assist at not additional cost, this was not the case for us. During a phone conversation to get the issue relooked at and fixed *** was extremely rude and unprofessional. He was yelling in an aggressive manner showing no respect for his clients. Therefore I did leave a review for his company via ******* I left one star and this was brought up in our phone conversation. The only reason I gave a review on ****** was to express the unprofessionalism this company holds with their clients. He then proceeded to educate me on the phone about his personal life which was unnecessary and claimed that I was ruining his company and reputation. *** also wanted to know why he should come back and fix the issues he made. If his company knew anything about roofing the leak would have been fixed correctly the first time and none of this headache would be accruing. Also, the lack of professionalism within this company shows the owners do not know how to separate business from their personal life.Sincerely,
