I purchased 2005 mustang on 02/2023 and the first three weeks of having the car the alternator went out and he did fix it, but he charged me for fixing the car and added it on to my car payment. The car was drivable for two weeks, Then the brakes went out, the rotor had snapped and broke the brake fluid line, that was $1300.00 to fix, the spark plugs and the coil pack were also no good. The starter and fly wheel went out and I had to purchase that and the car is still not wanting to run. Now, I am being told that the timing is bad. I need my car for work. I need reliable transportation. I have put $7000.00 into this car and it is not working. I would like to exchange the car for a more reliable car or have them fix the car completely the car is not even worth what I have put into the car.

For the past thirty years we have been in business, we have always told our customers that our service shop is available for them if something needs to be fixed on one of the vehicles purchased from us, and we do so at a reasonable price. The customer bought this vehicle on February 21, 2023 with 156,586 miles. When this customer called about the alternator going out, we paid for the towing and replaced the alternator within a day on March 28, 2023 and the car had 158,782 miles. Because the customer told us they could not afford to pay for the service, we simply added it to their payment plan in an effort to work with them and their financial situation. The person who showed up with her to pick up the vehicle the next day was revving the car very high and sped off down a 30 mph street, which was an indication that the vehicle was not being driven with care the way it should be. When we were notified about the brakes going out a month later, we once again offered for her to bring the vehicle so we can fix the brakes for her at a reasonable price, but she never notified us when she would bring the vehicle and she never stopped by at all. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the fact that the customer took the vehicle somewhere else to repair the brakes for $1,300.00; we offered to do them for her at a much reasonable price from $200-$300. We have repeatedly told the customer that we will work with her even though the car was purchased as is and no payments were made towards the vehicle or repairs since March 15, 2023. Most dealers repossess the vehicle if no payments were made or won't even offer any help to begin with if it was sold as is. However, we are the type of business where we try to help our customers even after the fact like we did when we replaced the alternator even after the vehicle had been driven 2,196 miles since she purchased it. We even replaced the water outlet, which costs $42.70, free of charge. We cannot trade the car for a different one because of the mishandling of the vehicle we have seen thus far, but we are still willing to help the customer fix the vehicle at a reasonable price as we do with all of our customers.

We would also like to note that the customer still owes $3,205.00 on this vehicle and has not made a payment since March 15, 2023. She also owes $404.69 for the towing and alternator replacement that was done on March 28, 2023. She showed no effort to make any payments towards her balance and we still offered to help fix her car in an effort to help her out in her situation.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I have not had the car for very long and it has had so many problems with it i mean it broke down within 3 weeks of getting it and everytime it brakes down they say they will fix it but want to rack up charges to do so when it shouldn't be that way I have lost money because of this car always breaking down on me my job is delivery driving and is about 60% of my income I feel like im being taken advantage of also being pregnant there not trying to help there trying to get money.. I will provide documents showing the car was sold with so many problems. They didn't correct before selling the car. Its not ok to sell someone a car knowing that it has so many problems. All i want is a reliable car at this point. my baby is due in 2 months and im still carless and having to put allmy extra money into getting my car fixed its absurd. i should be buying baby things not fixing everything on that car.. from brakes, to axels, brakeline, flywheel, and starter, sparkplugs/coil pack, timing belt, a/c and ill find out what else when the mechanic lets me know thats just ridiculous in how much is wrong with a car that was only driveable for a total of 48 days the rest being broke down.

      Sincerely,

      Marie Cruz Perez
