My daughter had signed up to try out for their non-tumble travel team on May 31, 2023 and June 1, 2023. All participants were invited to their Golden Gala on June 5, 2023 and received notification if they made a team or not. Ice All-Stars charged our accounts that same day for the initial tuition fee of $350 for the month of June for practices being held on Mondays and Wednesdays. My daughter attended only 2 practices which were on June 7 and June 14. She had prior commitments before trying out and knowing if she would place on a team or not. So she didnt attend on Monday, June 12th. I notified Ice All-Stars on Monday, June 19th that my daughter would be resigning and will no longer be part of the team. There were additional charges made to my credit card for apparel and a cheer camp on June 15th and I asked ***************** to please refund the charges before camp enrollment was finalized and apparel production happened. ***************** refunded the apparel and camp fees with no issues regardless of the financial agreement stipulations in place but isnt willing to refund the tuition charge. I asked to prorate the charge for the days attended but is adamant that there is no refund or prorating of any fees for any reason and that a 30 day notice needs to be received. Im grateful she refunded the apparel and camp fee but I find it very unfair to not receive a tuition refund when she only physically attended 2 days. The whole cost for participating is divided into 11 monthly payments to make it affordable but she should give parents a timeframe as well to consider any resignations at the very beginning.Business response

Per our Financial Paperwork signed by ********, we do not prorate/refund tuition when an athlete quits our program. She did initial her name next to that policy that she understood prior to committing to join our program that we do not prorate or refund any portion of tuition. ******** also filed a chargeback with her CC company regarding the same charges she is referring to in this complaint and they ruled in our favor recently. While we hate to see any athlete leave our program, we do understand and stopped all charges moving forward. We wish them both the best.
