    Before our Maxatours tour in November 2023, we were supposed to have a concierge call, in which *****************************, tour director and self-declared part owner of Maxatours, would discuss details and answer questions. It was hard to get an answer from either him or his wife about the calls timing. It was also hard to get answers to questions wed sent in emails. When we did speak with him, he often interrupted or talked over us. Communication problems particularly responsiveness: ***** and his wife ****** replied to emails. ***** sent an email to the group the day before we left the ** S.: he should have sent it at least two weeks earlier. He didnt let us know in advance of the ****** hotel change and didnt let us know of the ****** hotel change until we were on tour. There was at least one change every day during the tour: ***** rarely told us of those changes. Planning and follow-up problems: there was no lunch reservation in ******** because Maxatours had made the reservation at the restaurants ****** facility. ***** didnt provide information as to how, when, and where to obtain Value Added Tax (VAT) refunds before leaving the E** He still hasnt responded to most, if not all, of us concerning complaints voiced in a December 1 meeting in the ****** hotel. Were still waiting to hear from ***** about a refund for part of our ****** hotel costs, reputedly covered in the tour. He didnt provide promised luggage tags until the tours last day. Maxatour information stated wed receive a special gift from *****************: that didnt happen. A Maxatours brochure stated that wed would stop at ********************* en route to ******: that didnt happen. ***************** said at a travel show that hed be on this tour: that didnt happen.According to a manager at our ****** hotel, the rate ***** initially assessed us and the other couple whod arrived early was almost double what he should have assessed.
