Approximately 9 months ago I deposited 2 checks. I called an explained to them that I don't drive and it cost $40-$50 to go to the bank and back to my place. They told me to deposit the checks electronically and they walked me through the process. The supervisor confirmed that everything was cleared. A month later my money wasn't in my account. They told me to simply get a hold of the contractor and get new checks written. The contractor is out of state and that was almost impossible. When I called they said I would need to either bring the checks and deposit it in person, or just work for cash payments. I couldn't believe they said this to me. During this time Club Fitness processed payments 3 $25 payments, which took all the money out of my checking account, $150 out my savings account and now they're saying I owe $275. I called the bank today and asked to ******** who I've been working with regarding this situation to get the check numbers and they refused. I called back multiple times, and as well a** a different location and was hung up on. Also, I requested to receive the check numbers and they refused to provide that misinformation as well. When I told them I was ********* and would tell other people about my experience with the bank, they said I was threatening the company and trying to cause them to lose customers. This has been a very emotionally distressing experience.

      Business response

      09/29/2023

Customer relations is a priority for us, unfortunately there are occasions when we just cannot make a customer happy.  This is one of those occasions.  We understand you are not happy with our response and we cannot satisfy your demands.  We responded to your mobile deposit inquiry multiple times.  Directions regarding mobile deposits are clear and are repeated during the deposit process.  You did not follow the directions.

We have been sending correspondence to the address we have on file.  You provided a different address to the Better Business Bureau.  A copy of the letter mailed to you last November & mailed to you again this June is available for you at our Florissant Drive-Up.   Regarding your comments about charges to your account: you are welcome to contact me directly using the information provided to you by the Better Business Bureau.  In an attempt to resolve your issues in an amicable manner, we are reversing some of the fees you incurred.  A cashiers check is waiting for you at our Florissant Drive-Up along with the aforementioned letter.  There is no need for you to continue to call different bank locations, multiple times.  Should the need arise, I will be your point of contact for the bank going forward.

Some consumers may elect to not publish the details of their complaints, some complaints may not meet BBB's standards for publication, or BBB may display a portion of complaints when a high volume is received for a particular business.
