On 2/23/23 I hired We Mean Clean to deep clean my house. I have used them before with no concerns. The company sent two women to clean the house at an agreed upon rate of $50/hr/person. I was not present for the cleaning but my childrens caregiver was. The caregiver stated that the cleaning crew spent 4 hours on our second floor, most of the time spent chatting and not cleaning. Additionally she said they took a half an hour break. When I called the company after being alerted by my caregiver, they called the women and told them to finish quickly because I was upset and they left about an hour and a half later. They were there for a total of 6 hours, but the company told me to pay the normal rate of $40/hr for 5 hours (since they took the break) for the service issues for a total of $440. I paid the company through Zelle. When I arrived home after work, I was appalled and disgusted because it was clear that minimal if any cleaning had actually been done. The upstairs that the company said had been deep cleaned was definitely not deep cleaned. There was dog hair and filth on the carpet, there was dust on a lot of the surfaces, the baseboards were still dirty. I reached out to the company letting them know that I did not receive anywhere close to the service I paid for and they made excuses saying the women were rushed. The women were there for 6 hours and I still dont know what they accomplished during that time. I have video footage from my kids bedroom monitors that shows that the women were in each of their rooms for less than 10 minutes. Again when I shared this with the company they again said it was my fault for not understanding what a deep clean meant and that it takes longer than a normal cleaning. When I asked for a refund for the service I didnt receive, they said they already gave me a discount and that a refund isnt possible.Business response

This complaint is absolutely inaccurate and doesnt describe the real situation fairly.
We never use profanitys when we speak, when we were blamed, for I asked for a proof of messages, but they couldnt provide them, because there is none,we were hired to do a deep clean and halfway through The owner, said that she wants us to stop cleaning because the nanny said the cleaning ladies werent doing a good work. We were done with the second level going down to the first level so I asked the owner if we could just finish the first level then she said yes just finish the first level and only vacuum in the basement so we ended up doing just a standard clean on the first level so we can finish faster,after 6 1/2 hour work. I only charge them for 5.5 hours, and charged for standard clean for the whole house, even though half of the house was deep clean.at the end of the day the owner asked for a full refund of her discounted payment based on the fact that she doesnt think the cleaning ladies did a good work, and after us, leaving that afternoon in the evening, when she got home, she found some dog hair on her rug, which was, something that couldve happened after we left that the workers did above and beyond to try to satisfy this family.
We were harassed and threatened that if we dont refund the owners in full, we will get bad reviews and negative feedback to jeopardize our small business which I believe is extremely unfair, and we are very sudden to experience such a poor treatment from clients for a very first time!
