I would not recommend this company. We had 2 rats that kept entering our basement and garage. We believe they came from our neighbors who are hoarders and have people helping them clean out their house. We requested service in early January and bought a 30 day service package. The guy came out a few days later and set some bait traps outside.We continued to see them inside and called them back out 3 weeks in a row. The technician was very polite, but his efforts had not produced the results we needed after 4 visits so we asked them for a second opinion. We'd had trouble through the process when calling for our included return visits, but when we asked for the 2nd opinion, we really hit problems. We were told the operations director would call us in 24 hours when we'd call, but we could not get a call back when promised. Finally, on the 6th day trying to get help (Saturday), we got a call back from the service manager who said he'd be out to our house on Monday with our technician.The technician did his first really thorough inspection that morning before the service manager arrived. He put some rock wool in a space and told us another space needed filled. The service manager looked around and, while polite, didn't have much more to offer. He promised he'd have another member of his team call us that afternoon to set a time to fill the 2nd space pointed out to us. As usual, no call. We were done.Ultimately, we understand they can't control if a pest interacts with their traps or bait; but what they could control (following through and actually doing the thorough initial inspection promised on their website and calling us back when they promised) was not done. Within 2 days of calling a national competitor we had a very detailed and thorough inspection completed (mich more thorough than what we recieved from Smithereen), the house sealed, and a clearly defined plan to fix our problem. Please save yourself the headache and just call someone else.
