The director of pet central helps yelled at me and put her hand in my face when I asked her a simple question. She was rude and made me cry. I also know that they do not check for anything when doing adoptions. They do adoptions on site and will give a dog to anyone without doing a background check. They are so sketchy. Do not adopt from them.

I’ve fostered hundreds of dogs over the years and volunteer at the shelter a couple times a week and think they’re the best run shelter in the area! All of the animals brought into the facility get the best care and love possible and are homed into adoptive families. Proud to be a team member at PCH

I have volunteered for Pet Central Helps for 4yrs. They are a wonderful organization that stands by their animals- dogs, cats and bunnies. Everyone that is involved in this organization makes the animal's welfare the #1 priority. They are honest about any issues a potential pet may have and offer classes that are free with an animal behaviorist from ***. Their priority is finding stable homes for their rescues and keeping furry friends w/ their families. They even offer these classes to people that have not adopted from PCH. They adoption process is fairly easy and uncomplicated, fill out an application, PCH person (staff or volunteer) contacts you, pay the adoption fee and pick up your new family member. Many times you can foster to adopt, which gives you time to see if this is a good fit for all involved. All animals and people are treated w/ the utmost kindness and respect. This organization goes above and beyond to educate potential adopters or pet owners all in the name of best interests of the dog, cat. To be honest, I do not work w/ potential adopters because I know I am not the best person to embody the respect and dignity that is the standard of this organization when dealing with the public. I will work with dogs or cats that are sick, have behavior issues or need some training but not taking that from people.
