I have scheduled an appointment with Bairds auto repair service about a clicking noise that is obvious when you start the vehicle. The vehicle has been in the shop for 2 days for the following timeline and sequence of events. - 2/14/24….received call from repair shop stating that our 2014 Chevy traverse needs new struts ($1000) - agreed to have them replaced due to safety hazard, no asking for money back on this since appreciate the repair (now double checking with another dealer to see if they actually replaced them) - I called same day 2/14/24 after struts agreement and asked about make sure they diagnose clicking sound. They said test drives under way and will get back to me. - called again on 2/14/24 on status and they mentioned techs hear clicking noise on test drives but cannot replicate issue on lift - on 2/14/24, called back once again and told them they can keep car to help with finding root cause. They lady at desk told me they found issue(s) and it would cost me $560 to fix. I agreed to those fixes due to the noise (reminded her multiple times on the issue and resolution) - I waived left rear circuit sensor repair for abs indicator since same lady mentioned it was not needed since not a safety hazard nor clicking issue - 2/15/24 - work was under way for struts and clicking noise on approve from 2/14/24. - 2/16/24 - called dealership on repairs and when good time to pickup vehicle. Told me to pickup vehicle around 12pm since repairs completed and test driven. - 2/16/24 - paid for service of $1,700 and got into vehicle and original issue “clicking noise” was still present. Told dealership of issue and sent me to owner. Took test drive with owner and said old vehicles have tons of noises and ABS issue, how is should sound. - lady at desk said the issues they fixed was for other noises they heard not main one that everyone witnessed when pre/post driving vehicle. Want my $600 back and look at other reviews with same issues!

I took my car to Bairds after having my car stop when idling on Friday 12/8/23. I got a call that my bill would be $120 or so for the diagnosis. I was told the a solenoid was dirty from the oil being low and the cleaned it and my car was operational. She told me my oil was very low. I explained that I had added oil to my engine on multiple occasions since my last oil change including the week prior. I asked if the oil change had been done (a filter at that point) and she said no even though I had that on my envelope. So they did that and I picked it up in the afternoon. I asked for them to look into why my car was going through so much oil and that it should be under warranty still from my engine replacement. I then found out that the previous person when I had the engine replaced had told me that it was a 5 year warranty instead of a 3 year warranty. So it wasn't under warranty. I was also told that it is normal for a car to go through 3 qts of oil every 3000 miles. They overinflated my tires. I texted them to explain this got no response. I drove it Sunday 65 miles, and when I got to my destination my car died and won't restart. I had it towed. They asked me how things went after Friday and I said it was towed and non-functional. I talked to ****** Tuesday and she said ***** would call me back. I called again and talked to ***** today. He said I was told my engine was on borrowed time, which isn't true. I wouldn't have driven my car that distance if I knew that my car was unsafe. Their lack of actually diagnosing the problem ruined my engine.
