I saw Dr ********************** for treatment for neck and back pain. I selected this provider as he was In-Network with United HealthCare. I was informed they would charge 100% up front until I met my insurance deductible. After 7 treatments, They billed the insurance company $1,620 and I paid out of my pocket $866. After the insurance company processed the claims, it was determined that my portion should only be $420 (applied to deductible), and I am due a refund of $446. The doctor ****** WILL NOT REFUND the money. After talking with UnitedHealthCare, they have opened a claim on my behalf as the doctor was not following the provider contract with UHC. I want my $446 refund as I was overcharged.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: The chiropractic services that were submitted and completed were COVERED services through insurance. They were DISCOUNTED per the provider contract with United HealthCare. Therefore they are not considered NOT-COVERED services. and just DISCOUNTED services.
Sincerely,

I have contacted her insurance carrier, so they can explain to her again that the form she filled out before her treatment allows me to collect full payment for her treatments. My care goes well beyond normal care of most chiropractors, which can take 20 to 45 minutes or longer. which allows me to charge beyond normal contracted prices and by her signing the paper before any care, She is responsible for all charges, I'm very sorry she didn't understand what she was agreeing too, but doesn't change the fact that she is responsible for her bill. Hopefully this matter can be resolved after her insurance carrier talks to her and explain the I did nothing wrong. thank you, Dr. ***** Tutor
