      We have been in a contract with Stericycle for a few years now and I have been contacting Stericycle to terminate the contract for 2 months!!!! The representatives tactic is to continue to open cases with refrence numbers. I have over ************************************************************* back to terminate the contract. I have personally worked at numerous surgery centers as an accreditation consultant and the first thing I do is examine contracts. 100% of my facilities want to get out of Stericycle contracts that I have to do for them. Stericyle has a bad reputation for their prices and services but MANY medical facilities do not know that Stericycle is not the only service company. I have over 18 reference numbers and attempts to call Stericycle to terminate however they keep putting me on hold for over 35 minutes and hang up on me. I see that on BBB, Stericycle will respond to each complaint with "resolved", they are not saying that we lose business time trying to reach them and have to end up on BBB website for a resolution

      ON 2/1/23 PALM TREE PODIATRY PLLC ENTERED INTO A CONTRACT FOR SERVICES FOR MEDICAL WASTE DISPOSALWITH A MONTHLY SERVICE FEE OF $122.14.That contract was terminated for breach of contract in writing effective January 1, 2024 for Stericycle's non-performance and in accordance with the contract 60 days notice was given in writing by emails. Stericycle has unilaterally and with no authority increased the amount of the contract on a monthly basis as well. PTP is willing to pay for January 2024 and February 2024 but have been billed monthly since the termination up to and including July 2024, despite reference numbers provided and emails and mailings sent to Stericycle asking them to stop and leave us alone. They have an in-house collection agency sending us notices and harassing us as well

      We attempted to cancel our account on ******* 25th with a customer representative and were told the request would be processed. We continued to receive invoices from Stericycle. I contacted the service department via telephone April 22nd to question why we were continuing to receive invoices after cancellation. I was told by *************************, a representative from Stericycle, that the cancellation in ******* was not completed. He apologized to me and assured me that the account cancellation had been processed and applied a credit to our account for the invoices we had received. We have continued to receive invoices from Stericycle. Today, I called in and spoke to yet another customer representative that says he says where both requests were in the system, but neither one of them had been completed, and thus our account was not yet closed. When I requested to speak to someone in a billing department, I was told it was not possible. It has now been 6 months since our original request and they are continuing to bill us for services we have not received.

      My personal advice is, buyer beware, do not get involved with this company. I've been in dental practice 40+ years and have never dealt with a such a company and their business practices. They can miss multiple scheduled deliveries, making us out of compliance with our state regulations yet the bills continue and they will never at admit any fault. They get threatening when you try to cancel their contract for non-compliance. Read over their 4 page auto renew contract carefully but better yet do not get involved with them in the first place if you are a small medical or dental waste producer. They had a class action lawsuit settlement against them a number of years ago but they have not changed their ways. There are many reputable companies that you can deal with. Again, buyer beware and proceed with caution.In addition I carefully read their contract and met the required notice about cancellation in writing. Mailed a letter by certified mail of my intent to cancel and not renew my service with their company and have proof of delivery. I also, received an Email after the fact from Stericycle to offer me another contract to try to keep me as a customer, which I did not answer. I have wasted countless hours dealing with this company. I continue to receive bills and I have added a note that the contract was cancelled and continue to receive bills with past due notices. I refuse to waste any more time dealing with this company. I will be contacting our state regulatory agency "EGLE" and am considering other courses of action.

      Stericycle has continued to bill for services we terminated 4/16, and services not rendered. I made the request in writting and was followed by a phone call stating the account would be closed immediately and instead it was left in pending status. Our account holds a balance of $1,611.70 that has now been placed into collections. We no longer occupy the office space they claim to be servicing. I have made multiple attempts to close the account with ticket numbers below. I'm presently on hold for the last 30 minutes trying to get through to someone. #******** - Original Reference Number for the termination on 4/16 #******** #******** #******** #******** #******** #******** #********

      I closed my Office on June 30, 2024, I called Stericycle customer service on April 22, 2024 reference numbers ******** (436PM) and ******** 9445PM) then received an E-mail from customer relations: "Concerning your request to cancel your account #----- was submitted to our accounts specialists to be processed".The account care specialist ************ E mailed me on April 22 at 815PM advising me that my Office's contract will expire on November 1 2025 and that I will be liable for 50% of the remaining monthly payments through the date of the contract.On May 1 Rich S. sent me a disclosure for the early termination fees, "Original contract effective date November 1, 2020, cancelation date June 1, 2024, Term length 60, Months participated 44, remaining term 16, Current price ******, early termination fee 871.60".I requested a Cancelation letter and ************ sent me back an E mail: "Your account will be cancelled 6/1/24 as it shows below and then you will get the bill for the termination fees. thanks"On May 25 an Invoice was created for the month of June 2024 which I dutifully paid.On June 3, 2024, I contacted customer service confirmation number ******* and spoke with ***** who could not answer my questions and refused for 15 minutes to transfer me to a supervisor, finally my call was forwarded to *** who advise me that she reviewed the previous requests and that the account care specialist ************ DID NOT proceed to close the account and that ********************** has a "60 day cancelation notice policy" , that my account was scheduled to be closed on June 30, 2024 and in the month of July I will receive an invoice for the early termination fees.On June 25, 2024 Stericycle created a new invoice for services the month of July 2024, the account obviously is still open.The last Office pick up service was on May 6, 2024, no further services have been provided.Why do I have to be penalized for the mistakes of their employees?I NEED MY ACCOUNT CLOSED AS OF TODAY JUNE 30, 2024

      We pay $166.93 monthly for this criminally negligent company to pick up medical waste (embalming fluid and blood) for our mortuary. We changed our address in 2023. They have never come to the new address. I have called them (as of today) 37 times. "They always create a ticket". I always get the same excuses, but we have never received a pick-up at the correct address. The only live person you can reach is a Filipino call center which can accomplish NOTHING. I have spoken to call center supervisors. billing supervisors, transportation supervisors, andone special Agent in *******. NOTHING. NO SERVICE HAS BEEN PROVIDED.

      Unfortunately in 2023 I had requested Sharps pickup/disposal from Stericycle. The company failed to remove the Sharps from my business. I filed to cancel my account and no longer required service from them. They failed to cancel my account in a timely manner and continued billing me for non rendered services. I have contacted the company multiple time over the last year and spoken to several different people. No one at that company seems to know how to cancel my account and they continue sending me bills. I have requested many times that this stop. My only other option is to take this to court as a level of harassment. All I am requesting is that the company(stericycle) follows through with canceling my account and ceases their collection attempts.
