    Pattern of Complaint:
BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning:
    • Consumers allege being contacted by Home Service Agreement Programs through mailer advertisements. They have alleged the verbiage on the print Ad is misleading them to believe that Home Service Agreement Programs were their current home warranty coverage.

    • Consumers allege the business print ads are misleading them to believe it is an urgent matter and to contact the business immediately.

Our advertisement specifically states, “Not all consumers have previous coverage. We are not affiliated with your current mortgage holder.” In addition to the disclosure, we will take additional steps to make sure our representatives clearly explain that the offer is for an Additional 3 years of coverage beyond their current policy, if they have one (once again, not all consumers have previous coverage)

On 4/12/2024, BBB submitted a written request to the company encouraging them to address the pattern of complaints. As of 5/2/2024 the business has provided a plan of action to address the concerns.

10/09/2024 Received a mailer indicating there was a warranty on my home and I need to immediately rake action in order yo continue said services. Then at the bottom there's a liability disclaimer indicating that the previous homeowner may not have had this warranty. This constitutes a predatory business practice making it seem like an urgent must act now matter. It takes advantage of first time home buyers who are frantic about making sure their home is taken care of. I did not authorize these mailings and do not appreciate these mailers.

I received a notice in the mail that is designed to look like an overdue bill, but is in fact an advertisement for a service that I did not request. Note that I am named as "New Owner". This is a scam designed to take advantage of people who might not notice that this is an advertisement. It is intentionally deceptive and fraudulent, and the company "Home Service Agreement Programs" needs to be held accountable.

Our company provides a valuable service to help customers save thousands of dollars on home repairs. We have placed this customer on our "take me off the list" mailing database to make sure he does not receive any future direct mail advertisements from our company. Thank you!

I AM BEING HARASSED WITH LETTERS FROM THESE PEOPLE ABOUT SOME HOME SERVICE AGREEMENT. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THESE PEOPLE GOT MY ADDRESS. ACCORDING TO MY BANK, SINCE I RECENTLY GOT A MORTGAGE, THESE SCAMMERS TROLL THE COUNTY RECORDS AS MY GETTING A MORTGAGE IS A MATTER OF PUBLIC RECORD AND THEN HARASS CONSUMERS AND SCAM THEM. THE PINK LETTER I RECEIVED FROM THESE SCAMMERS DOES NOT EVEN HAVE MY NAME ON IT. IT IS ADDRESSED TO "NEW OWNER". I WANT THIS CONSTANT HARASSMENT OF JUNK MAIL FROM THESE SCAMMERS TO STOP AND I AM HOPING THE BBB CAN HELP ME DO THIS. THESE SCAMMERS ARE TARGETING INNOCENT AMERICANS ESPECIALLY SENIOR CITIZENS WITH THEIR BOGUS PINK LETTERS AND THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN NOW!

As noted in other complaints, I received a deceptive mailer making it seem as though this was a pre-existing plan I was enrolled in. The mailer includes a small disclaimer at the bottom that "Not all consumers have previous coverage. We are not affiliated with your current mortgage holder." Given the other language on the mailer, the disclaimer appears to be providing plausible deniability while still continuing deceptive marketing practices.

Please look into the way this business sells home warranty policies. They tell consumers the policy cost ****** for the first 12 months. Then the next 2 years are free. Many people believe that the policy costs ******. What they don't tell is that the policy costs ****** per month for 12 months, then the next 24 are free. In the literature, they state that immediate action is requested. This leaves many people thinking there is a policy in place that is about to expire. I believe it is a legit business but the way they approach the sale is a scam. I believe they get right to the edge of the law and know exactly what they can and cannot say to make a sale.

The company is using deceptive marketing practices, sending fake notifications and misrepresenting themselves in order to deceive customers into signing up for their services. Company is likely a fraudulent business that offers no real service. As a new homeowner I received a 1-page letter from this company for a Home Warranty program. The letter is deceptive in several ways:1. Misrepresentation that the offer is some sort of an extension - I have never done business with this entity nor has the builder of the home.2. It states that failure to activate coverage will make me responsible for "any and all repairs once the coverage on the property expires" - there is no coverage on the property provided by this entity, only by the builder.3. No details are provided on the supposed coverage, the attached 1-page letter is the only document provided by the company (or I should say scammer).

I received a letter stating that I needed to active my Home Service Agreement. When I called I stated that this was purchased from my seller and they stated that they did but it was minimum coverage and this was to upgrade the existing coverage. This business misrepresented themselves as the existing warranty on my property and charged ****** for an "upgrade"

Purchased a home in the spring and received a letter from this company. I called them to get more information and what they explained sounded like a great deal: $269 for home warranty coverage for three years. However, the next month, I noticed an additional $179 charge from them on my credit card statement. I called the company and asked them to explain the charge. They said that it was $269 to sign up, and $179 per month for three years. I then told them to cancel my coverage. The next few months, I continued to see the same charge on my credit card statement, and every month I have tried to get the charges refunded and my warranty cancelled. I just want this warranty cancelled for good so I can stop calling them every month. This business is a scam!
