Customer beware of fraud, waste and abuse. I cannot believe that after almost 2 decades of being a VERY loyal, (even when MANY others left this practice because of shady business) pay on time (every time) customer I was sent the below COLD HEARTED email informing me that Green Mount Family Dentistry was withdrawing from care as my dental provider.Background: Approximately 6-8 months ago, ******************************* informed me that one of my back teeth was cracked and needed to be removed. After much discussion, I decided to have a tooth implant procedure accomplished to replace the cracked tooth. I stressed to ******************************* the importance of getting everything accomplished before my retirement, because once I retired my dental insurance would expire. ******************************* acted like she totally understood and proceeded to send me to a specialist to accomplish all the needed steps before the actual implant procedure was conducted.The problem? After Green Mount Family Dentistry sent me to the specialist they totally disappeared, so when I reached the 3 week **** from losing my insurance, I naturally became concerned and yes frustrated. When I called and expressed my concern of getting everything accomplished before our agreed upon deadline, I was told every excuse in the book as to why this and that had not yet taken place.Bottom-line: Green Mount Family Dentistry DISAPPEARED and when questioned they became VERY unprofessional and ultimately sent me the below email. I cannot help but feel like I was thrown out to the dumpster, because I was going to lose my insurance.Friendly advice - look elsewhere for dental treatment. There are many professional, caring Dentists in our area that will treat you as a person (not just a pocket book), so there is absolutely no reason to take unnecessary chances on a dentistry that will turn their back on you when you need them most.Note: I gave 1 star because you cannot leave zero. This practice needs to be investigated for fraud.Dear ******************,We are writing to inform you that, after much thought, we have decided to withdraw from care as your dental provider. We will be available to treat any emergency (such as swelling, toothache, or broken tooth) you may encounter for the next 30 days, provided that you contact the office before- hand to make an appointment. Our dentist-patient relationship will end after these 30 days. We encourage you to seek the regular care of another dentist as soon as possible. You can find information regarding area dentists in the telephone directory, online, or by contacting the local dental society/association referral service. We have included a Records Release Form with this notification. If you fill it out and return it, we will send a copy of your dental records and X-rays free of charge to you or your new dentist. Please include the email address to which you would like the records sent. Two days notice is needed before we can send the records. We have also arranged for overnight delivery of your implant post and correspondence from the specialist.
