Had some work done on my suv. Company had my debit card info stored in their computer already without my knowledge or authorization.Charged me credit card fee without informing me. Will not reimburse me.Denied to issue me a print out of my estimate the first time., instead sent it by text. Will not return none of my calls.Called service department to talk to manager and someone pretended to be the manager. This is a billion dollar company and how will $10.00 hurt them. Asked the company to credit the fee back to my debit card and they refuse. They stated that I will receive a check in the mail, haven't received it yet. All this took place on the 1st of August 2024. Money hungry, money hungry and very rude. I CANNOT TAKE MY CAR TO THEM ANYMORE. I DON'T TRUST THEM.They have one service person there Act as though he don't like African Americans. He sits at the very 1st counter. I don't have a case in court and I don't understand. They violated my rights.1st they had my debit card stored in their computer from a previous visit without my permission or knowledge.2nd Service refused to hive me a print out of my estimate. I still have the video he sent me instead. I can't file a police report so that my bank can investigate.I hop this will get something done for me.Review from Robert B

I allege that the Auffenberg Kia finance Sales Manager ***************************** is holding my sales tax hostage. We drove three hours one way from ****** Mo. To ****** IL. to buy a 2019 ******* Accent LE on 6-8-24. She claimed that about ****** car dealers were hacked in mid June which seems true. Causing my loan to get financed just days ago with a credit union. That to me is an understandable delay, (as long as it does not cause me any fee's for missing my first car payment) which is due any day now I think. But, I have got absolutely no paperwork yet from the credit union as of 7-23-24. My complaint is, that when we bought the car. I purposely had ******* roll the $1,033.33 sales tax into the loan (as we did not have the money available that month to cover the tax. She should have cut me a check long ago from Auffenberg Kia for this. This action (or lack of thereof) by her to pay me the sales tax "OVER" a month and a half late. Has caused me not to be able to pay some late Federal taxes, and has cost me $250.00 in fee's by the *** to date. I allege this to be a fraudulent business practice, and have also logged a complaint with the *** yesterday about this very practice. Before ******* tells me that's it is all the fault of the hack. How would the hack stop you from (when you see how long this has dragged out). From cutting me a check off the paper copy that you and I have? Besides this salesman ************************* was great in setting us up with the car and all. But later (after the sale). I tried texting his personal cell, to have ******* contact me with no answer. Finally I had a finance guy named *** call me one day. I explained everything to him about the sales tax check and assured me that he would call me back that day with some answers (which he never did). Thus, if you are dealing with them, I suggest that you are very careful that this alleged tax hostage scheme does not cost you in the end, as it has me. My resolution is $250.00 compensation for my tax burden.Review from Jashema N

The Finance Managers are dishonest and liars. I went to possibly purchase a 2023 Sportage. I have a 2013 Sportage for a trade-in. First the value they wanted to give me on the trade-in was only a little over $1000. I had the car appraised at another dealership. That dealership appraised the car at the ***** Bluebook price of $4000. Then we agreed on a payment price. My mistake was I didnt have them put that price in writing first. I had been pre-approved at my own credit union but they said they could beat the credit rate. So I let them run my credit assuming we had agreed upon a price. Once they ran my credit and had all my payment infothey rejected the amount they originally agreed to and raised the monthly $40. They had me submit a credit application under false pretenses so they could see my credit information and salary. This process began at 11:30am and ended at 7:00p at night. I ended up walking out the dealership. I should file a complaint with the ****Review from Caden B

I have had an absolutely horrible experience with Auffenberg Kia. I went to purchase my 2023 Kia forte about 3 weeks ago and went on a test drive. I enjoyed the car, but as I was looking at the window sticker they had a “market adjustment” for ceramic coating that was $995 on top of the sticker price. This was not listed online and I was told by ****, the salesperson, that it was something that is done on all of their new vehicles. I ended up agreeing on a price, in which I paid full msrp for, plus a “reduced” price of $795 for the ceramic coating. Then I found out later in finance from ******* that this was an option. This was completely different from what the salesperson told me. I was also promised floor mats for the car, but I had to go back to get them because their parts department was closed that day. It took me 2 trips to get the mats, the first they claimed they did not have the mats, and that in order for me to get them, I had to do the salesman and the dealership a “solid” and give them a perfect review. Then, a few days later I get a text from *******, my finance person, stating that there are a few documents that she may have sent home with me and they she needs me to being them back, or if I don’t have them, she needs me to come in and sign them. After hours of trying to get a response from her I called the dealership and was given a different finance person, and I finally was able to find a general manager that could stop by my house for me to sign the papers, again, wasting more time. Now, a week later, I cannot get into my financing account to make payments, or do anything, I believe because the dealership did not do their job and get my paperwork and information to Kia finance. I am still trying to figure this out because I have a payment due in a week, but everyone is very rude when I call the office and no managers, or anyone from finance, can seem to answer or call back. Now when I call back I am told just to wait for a response.Review from Nicole S.

My husband and I have had the absolute worst experience purchasing our 2023 *** ** this February of 2023. We went to their OFallon location on a Saturday morning to purchase a new car. We arrived at *** at 10am. It took 8 HOURS for ** to finally leave the parking lot with our new car. It was a very long and exhausting day sitting around in their dealership waiting and waiting to get answers about finalizing our paperwork. We finally leave the dealership at 7 pm with our new car. 6 days later the brand new car wont start. We call the dealership and they send a tow truck to our house to pick it up. The tow truck is 2.5 hours later than they told ** they would be there. They told ** they would get our car into the shop as soon as it got there on that Friday is broke down. I called at 4 pm to find out what is wrong with the car and they tell me your car made it here, but we are going to wait until Monday to look at it. So now my new car sat there all weekend until Monday for them to look at it. I got a call from them Monday morning saying the car was going into the shop and they would call with updates. I called 5 times that day to get ahold of someone and finally in the afternoon they responded saying they dont know what is wrong with the car. It is now Wednesday and they STILL do not have an answer about what is wrong. Trying to call this dealership and talk to someone is nearly IMPOSSIBLE. They do not answer phones nor return voicemails. I will never buy another vehicle from this dealership. 10/10 do NOT recommend.Review from Laura S.

They are dishonest and not forthcoming about the actual prices of their vehicles. I paid $1000 dollars for them to order and hold the Kia with the expected price of $33,000. I finally went to finance the car upon its arrival, and the contract had a $2995 “add on”. This was not itemized but verbally explained to me when I asked. Per **** in sales, the add on was just the “market adjustment” and nothing more. She got the market adjustment dropped to 1995. And explained that it would come with ceramic and it was nothing that could be opted out of, but rather a reward to us for paying over the value. However, during financing, I was given a sheet of paper to sign agreeing to opt in or out to the ceramic coating which was priced at $995. I told **** days before that I did NOT want the coating. However, I was already being charged for it in the contract. Texas in financing told me that the 1995 was just the market adjustment, and was intentionally being dishonest, but her manager **** ******* intervened and told the truth : that the $995 out of the $1995 was indeed the ceramic coating. I was made to believe that they were giving me the MRSP price, but it was a bait and switch. They almost let me sign off refusing the ceramic coating though they already charged me. The sales reps get 20% off of that ceramic add on so they will not disclose that. I feel like I need $995 refunded due to their dishonesty and false pretenses.Review from Laura S

I purchased a 2022 Kia Sorrento from Auffenberg Kia on June 11th ( at their new location in Shiloh Illinois). I was told that the price of the care would be 33,000, however it was a "bait and switch". They placed into the contract an "add on" which in its entirety was labeled verbally the "market value adjustment" totally to $2295 dollars bringing the price up to $35,295. When it came to negotiations, I had a trade in value of 24500 on a 2020 jeep cherokee in EXCELLENT condition which I should have gotten more for. However, I asked that it be taken down more from some where. **** in sales, got $1000 taken off and stated that with my purchase I would get ceramic coating automatically and that it was not something that was negotiable or could be opted out of. However, when I finally got to the finance person named ******* ( a new employee), I was handed a sheet of paper asking that I "opt in" for ceramic coating for a cost of $995 dollars. At this point I asked if I could opt out because it was not going to be necessary and I had previously asked not to have ceramic coating as an add on. ******* got the other finance person named Texas and she stated that I could opt out so that the price wouldn't go up. However, I disagreed because I recalled **** in sales "guaranteeing" that it was just something that came along with it. So I told Texas in finance to itemize my "add ons" and tell me what those numbers meant and she stated "market adjustment". I did not believe her as I began to realize that I was ALREADY being charged for it as the actual market adjustment was 2200 and the 995 was the ceramic that I stated I never wanted. Eventually **** ******* in management intervened and told me the truth, that apart of the 1995 left in the agreement as an "add on " was indeed the ceramic coating that I NEVER WANTED and should have not had to pay for under false pretenses. They have been very conniving, underhanded, and dishonest. I feel that I deserve a $995 refunded.Review from Alex W

My wife and I took our 2017 ***** CX-9 to Auffenberg for regular maintenance. We had always got regular service/maintenance (most of which was done at Auffenberg) on it after buying it new in 2017 from a different dealership. The *** had major engine failure in November of 2021. The *** was still under warranty and Auffenberg was contracted to perform the warranty service. After waiting 4 months for the warranty to be approved and the parts to arrive (now March of 2022), Auffenberg called us to let us know they would be starting on the repairs and would get our vehicle back to us.We waited a month and a half, all while cycling between much smaller rental cars that did not accommodate our family. Every week, my wife would call Auffenberg and they kept telling her that the *** would be ready next week. After several weeks of this, my wife was told that our car was not the priority and it would get done when they had time.My wife and I decided that this was not acceptable as we needed our larger *** back at accommodate our family. We offered to sell our *** to Auffenberg so that we could purchase a replacement. Auffenberg then took another week to consider the offer and finally agreed. My wife went to Auffenberg today (5/7/2022) with the title in hand ready to sell the *** and be done with this ordeal. The General Manager (**) of Auffenberg, told my wife that they would not be able to buy it today. Instead, they told my wife that the warranty repair work was finished and that she could get our *** back today. My wife agreed and drove the *** less than 1 hour before it suffered catastrophic engine failure on the interstate, leaving her stranded on the side of the road. After calling Auffenberg again and having to argue with the *** Auffenberg agreed to tow it back for warranty service again. My wife and I ended up purchasing a replacement vehicle without the benefit of a trade in. I went to speak with the ** and was screamed at by him in the parking lot.
