My 2012 x5 BMW towed from ********* due to my car breaking down on me on the highway this was early August of 2022. I live in Chicago, IL. I spoke with ***** before and after the car arrived. Weeks later he still don't know what was with my vehicle ***** stated that his mechanic ran some test and it was an issue with the water pump. I called ***** **** ********** in Chicago We all discovered that there was nothing wrong with the water pump and the water pump was not the cause of the car to fail. Another few weeks go by and i spoke with ***** again. He stated that whatever was wrong with my car was baffling because they could not figure out what was wrong with my vehicle even after they had done an ELECTRICAL DIAGNOISIS. He stated the car was running fine after the battery had been charge and there were no issues he said he was confused. Then again I gave him a recap of what happen when the car had died on me. I told him the car lost power and the battery was slowing being drained. I also stated that when i tried to start my car my computer would just reboot over and over again. He said the computer looks fine but well check it out. More time goes by and it is now November of 2022 and ***** tells me that it is my computer and the replacement would be $2200 but they would start the work with a payment of $1800. It took some time to come up with the money. but by the time i came up with the $1800 ***** stated that the full replacement cost would be $2600 because he charged me $300 for a diagnosis. Which he never done because the diagnosis would have let him know it was my computer not me remember he was confused. However i paid the $2600 in full In and the day i was to come get my car he tells me that due to my sunroof not functioning i have water damage after parking my car on a hill and all the water went to the back of the car were the electrical components are and my car is no good. it is March and I have not heard a word since I ask how much repairs would cost.
