      On March 11 I bought a Jeep Patriot from this company. My engine light came on 4 days later. I called them and they told me to bring it back. I took it to them and they cleared the engine light and told me to come back if it came back on, which it did. I brought it in within the next couple days and was told they had to take it to another shop. I have not heard anything since except when I call them. I ended up calling ******** over that weekend and was told 2 valve shifts needed to be replaced but that was all she knew and told me to call Monday. I called Monday and was told they would not tell me anything because I didn't drop the car off myself and since the Jack Schmitt did, I would have to talk to them. I called and spoke to the service manager who said they would call the other shop. They called me back and told me to pick up my truck Monday around 2. I got there Monday around 1:30 and when I got in the truck the engine light was still on. Jack Schmitt said the other dealership cleared the engine light and did no work. Yet, now it is still on. I left my truck there and they said they would work on it and gave me a loaner car. I called Tuesday and my truck was not there again and they sent it to ******** because they did not have the parts. I called today again and was told they did not have any information today. I have yet to hear back. They are giving me the run around.

      Hello, Thank you for this notification. We have been in contact with Mr. *******. This vehicle has an internal engine condition causing the intermittent Check Engine Light notification. We are evaluating the repair, it may need a replacement engine. We did transport the vehicle to ******** Jeep because we feel their factory trained technicians will have the special tools and equipment to properly repair the customer condition. This customer is in a no charge loaner vehicle at this time. We will also pay for the repair or make other arrangements with the customer if they choose to purchase another vehicle. Please contact us if further information is needed. Thank you!
