11/30/21 Paid the business $150 on top of the $150 deductible for the warranty company. This company only accepts cash, is what Dustin, the technician stated. I want to dispute it because I was supposed to get a service done today (12/8/21), and then the customer service guy canceled it and called me a “*****” because I was asking if they accept checks. He proceeded to rant on and cut me off and wouldn’t let me ask any questions that I had regarding my appointment. Not only did they not fix my plumbing, but they cut a massive hole in my ceiling and didn’t take the time to clean it up.

This homeowner is sadly mistaken , the warranty company denied her claim. They also do not cover for access , as the homeowner they could have provided there own access and saves there money, they chose not to, she called in this morning, attempted to pay with a check that probably would have bounced , she then got rude and stated she wanted to cancel , if she couldn’t pay with a check, so her appointment was cancelled. She got what she wanted, but was not able to take advantage of our company, then got belligerent and called me a rude ass.Call was immediately terminated. This is my first and final response to the situation she will not get a another second of my time

Came out to replace my sump pump using my home warranty. They said for them to do it, they would have to move the check valve within 12” from the discharge of the pump and it would cost $150 to lower It maybe 18” from it’s current position. They said this was the new code/requirement. The did not replace the check valve. They used a new pvc coupling, but used a old piece of p c pipe from another job that had a hole in it. Technician said to wait 30 min before plugging it in and left. When I plugged the sump pump back in to get rid of water in pit, it started shooting water from the hole in the pvc pipe. When I called the business to get the technician back to fix the pvc with the hole, they said to put tape over the hole until they can return the next day. They said they don’t accept check/cc/debit, so I had to go get cash/certified check/ money order. They gave a receipt for the $150, but it isn’t clear on the receipt what I paid $150 for. The parts barely would cost $15. Crooks

Your warranty company did cover for the replacement of the sump pump , but not any modifications to to the pipe or check valve , to make sure it was properly installed . This you were given a flat rate price of 150.00 to make sure everything was in its proper places. Your warranty company has suggested the payment options that we presented to you and that you accepted. For work outside covered repairs , cash , money order or cashiers checks , repairs were  made , payment was completed. It’s not our fault you have a lower coverage contract , and you had to pay 150.00 out of pocket to get the check valve located in the pit . Per manufactures recommendations , We are a flat rate contractor , you were  given up front pricing and has an option not to have the work done , no refund or adjustment will be processed.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Shady company run by shady individual with idiot workers.  All complaints deal with warranty work.  Not everyone carries the same warranty company and the common denominator is this shady company.  Since they can’t what they would normally charge if the work wasn’t through a warranty, they claim not covered wired and rip people off of 150 claiming that is what it costs to run his office and pay his employees for the day.  So if you respond to 10 calls and make that not covered under warranty claim to those 10 homeowners, you walk away with 1500 for the day.  Does the IRS know you do this? Worthless company who does shoddy work and has shady business practices.

      Sincerely,

      ***** *******

it’s unfortunate that your warranty company denied a portion of your services. The claim was submitted to them as a whole. Assuming they would pay for everything, the 150.00 would have been paid by them , if you had a contract that covered more. Please call your warranty company and have them explain coverage to you. You did not have to pay the non covered portion , nor did you have to process with the repairs. This was your choice to proceed , work was completed payment was processed ,and yes your warranty company suggests that we collect all non covereds by a method of secure and non reservable payments , example cash, money order or a bank check , this when they get upset because the warranty company won’t cover the repairs and attempt to take out there childish and immature behaviors on the contractor ,as in this case, the contractor does not get ripped of by a disgruntled homeowner , that did not take the time to read or understand there contract.Your warranty company was notified of all repairs and a service report was submitted to them, they denied a portion , pleas take it up with them.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: Action Mechanical Services is still being run by a joke of an owner with incompetent workers. Doing substandard work. Has Shady business practices and collects their “Standard” “not covered by insurance” fee because they apparently don’t like the negotiated rate that the insurance company set that they agreed to in ordered to be considered for insurance calls.
