      I received a request in the mail from ARSC, a company I've never heard of or been contacted by before, stating that I owed 'Business Computer Training' over *******. I made payments to a company called 'Business **************************** and paid them off, 100% in 2009 or 09 (many many years ago). I do not owe BCTI (Business **************************** a *****! Not one red cent. This came out of the blue all these years later. I do not know who these people Really are but I suspect nefarious intentions. If this false debt is reflected in my credit report I want it corrected.

      At ARSC, we understand that there are times when certain information is not adequately applied to a file. While we show no history of prior resolution in the account details, we are happy to have the matter closed for review and inquire with the previous holder to verify her previous payoff.  I apologize for the inconvenience if that is the case.       In response to complaint IF ********, I wish to reject the business response. I only got this in the mail yesterday and opened it and now it's been over seven days and the case has been closed. I did not have a chance to reply until now. It only came in the mail yesterday. I am fine with them contacting BCTI to confirm that my account with them has been paid off Years ago, but I do not want to contact ********************* directly at this time. I see no reason to. The Only answer I will accept is 'Yes, ****************, we confirm your account has been paid off. Sorry for the inconvenience.' I hope this is enough to reopen my case. Please let me know.       I received a collection notice, in a last name that I have not used, or has not been mine for about 27 years. The letter is from ARSC, for a creditor ****** ************************* I have never had an account with this company, and in researching this company is closed. I also called the ************, when I advised I was recording the call, the gentleman got offensive, and ask why I was recording and said obviously you are not going to answer any questions and hung up.

      The representative disconnected the call, only after I advised him of his fraudulent activity.

      I returned a call and they stated I own $3000 on a gas bill. I have no idea what they are talking about. He was rude and aggressive. Asked if I was refusing to pay it. I told him I do not know what he is even talking about. I have not received any correspondence regarding this matter. He then said we will go ahead and proceed with collections and hung up. I havent had a gas card and have not had natural gas for over 9 years. I have no idea what he is talking about.

      I received a call from ARSC on March 29, 2023 about a 19 year old credit card debt that I do not have. It's concerning because he knew my name and he said he knew my full social security number, although he would only say the last four digits. The first person that I spoke with was extremely rude. The second person tried to explain that there business was legitimate, but I'm questioning if it was a scam.

      A letter came today for my husband from ARSC saying he owes over $6500. to Greens Appliances. I called Greens as we have not bought anything there in over **************************************** their system. I called ARSC and asked questions about this letter and was told it was sent to them for collection from ****. 17 years ago???? I told the rep I talked to Greens and sent them a copy of the letter for collections. I asked the rep to NOT contact us anymore and he said I cannot do that. He then said if I paid them $1200 today that would satisfy the debt. I again told the rep not to contact us and he got ***** and said it would go on to another office and they would collect the full balance.

      ARSC (a collection company), called me with a court threat, and sent an invoice to my residence to pay an unpaid balance. It stated that it was from my Citibank Classic card, dated 1/18/2023. Mind you, I currently have two citibank cards that are in good standing, and have never been late with payment. This company said that if I do not respond in a timely manner, the courts would make a judgement without me and it would reflect on my credit report as such. I never received any "official" court papers, I do not know whose account this is, and if this goes onto my credit report, I will try to take this entire company down! I have come too far, creditwise, to have my credentials compromised. They came out of the blue with an arrogance as well, and had the nerve to call a family member in search of me. I have never even heard of this company. I hope that this issue will properly be addressed.

      Dear BBB,

      We take complaints such as these very seriously and, in order to properly address his complaint, I thoroughly reviewed **************** file.I found no record of any calls ever placed to of received from **************** or any relative of his. Additionally, my audit shows that there is no employee access to the file. I am genuinely confused.

      It is possible that **************** communicated with a different collection agency and may be mixing us up. It doesnt seem as though any employee ours spoke to him or his family members. I would like to help him in any I can, though, and invite him to contact me at ********************* if he requires any additional assistance.

      I am rejecting this response because: I did speak with ********************* today and he did help me to understand the situation somewhat. He explained to me that his office did send the invoice out, but there was no record of his company calling me or my family member...it was another company. I would like to have written documentation, from ARSC, stating that this account is closed. At that point, I will be satisfied with the outcome. ************** was quite informative as well. Thank you.
