On 5/15/24, I took my vehicle to De Re Tire and Auto in ********** ******** to have new tires installed and some other automotive maintenance done. After the work was completed, one of the chrome rims was bent and damaged. While speaking to the employee who removed the tires initially, he indicated he didn't see any damage at that time. A second employee who performed the old/new tire exchange, claimed the damage was there when he received the tires from the first employee. It is clearly punctured and the second employee damaged the rim by prying the edge since that part of the rim is permanent and any attempt to remove it, will cause damage. The manager never took responsibility for the damage or the second employee's actions with the rim. A couple of days later the vehicle was inspected by a ************** dealer and they confirmed that piece is permanent and it appeared to have been attempted to have been pryed off the rim. An estimate of $765 was quoted from the ************** dealer (********************* GMC in ********, **) to replace the rim. According to GMC, the rim cannot be repaired, only replaced. I'm looking for a resolution where De Re Tire reimburses me for the new rim that needs to purchased from GMC. I do not intend to have this or any additional work done at De Re Tire in the future.
