July 2021 A-1 SUBURBAN plumbing was contracted by Nipsco solutions to clear an outside drain blocked to the alley. 1st employee came and put rodding device towards home and tore up the porcelain lip on the seated toilet along with shaking entire house and things falling off walls. Was told to stop and call supervisor. Next day supervisor came and cleared drain, no issues, no noise. But there were freshly broken porcelain pieces in the outside trap, i immediately let company know. The bathroom floor started to leak immediately and i contacted the company and Nipsco immediately and was told-without inspection, that it was the wax ring..and RUDELY dismissed..i am disabled and finally got the funds to have toilet fixed, only to find out that its been leaking slowly because of the damage done by Plumbing on july 2021 service. I get ahold of Nipsco and A-1 plumbing and they replaced the toilet once realizing that it was their negligence that caused the leak. Damage was caused to the flooring, the doorjam, and the door.. they replaced toilet admitting responsibility but now refuse to replace the door&jam to at least repair the damage done by the leak. I cannot afford attorney or court proceedings. I can't believe that they refuse to put me back where I was before they came and caused obvious damages to my NOT DAMAGED home. Please help me?!?

On 6/8/2021 The technician went out to the house and tried to open sewer line from improperly installed cleanout in backyard. Technician kept going into home (backwards) could not clear blockage.  Supervisor went out and opened sewer.  Customer stated a rumbling when previous technician was there in the bathroom.   Supervisor looked at and flushed toilet found no visible defects, cracks and/or leaks.  Informed customer of this.  She said she'd have the toilet removed to see damage at later date.  EIGHT months later customer sent pictures of the underneath of her broken toilet. Supervisor went out again to assess damage.  Customer said leaky toilet damaged floor, drywall, trim and door.  Supervisor took photos and found no water damage to anything.  The inside jam of bathroom door was swollen with pealed paint.  However this was due to heating duct located right were paint and swell was.  Out of fairness we did replace toilet out of courtesy.

I'm rejecting the response of the business.. the toilet leaked only AFTER they came and routed the wrong way breaking my porcelain lip on toilet. Then water leak started . The damage is clearly visible that the damage to door, floor and doorjamb were definitely caused by water not heat from the vents.. SERIOUSLY?? Supervisor lied..he never inspected toilet or anything else when he returned.. the damages to door and jam were irrefutably caused by the leak of the toilet onto sub floor and water laid and settled outside of bathroom door and along wall door is attached to..as well as under flooring.. for them to try and claim it's a heat vent? Which does not emit water, is a farce.. they knew that they were negligent and replaced toilet, not as a courtesy but because THEY BROKE IT..
