On 12-26-2023, my daughter ************************* took her car to Meineke at 9640 ****************, because he wasnt starting and when it did it kept shutting off. She explained the situation to a ******************************* abs he stated he would look into it, several days later ***** told her she needed all this work done in her car and ****** nit knowing anything thought he was being honest, turns out he had the fuel injectors replaced, the wiring to the ignition and stated she needed a tune up and to change the sparks plugs and that each plug was $100. At the time after My Daughter told me what was going on, I reached out to Meineke and spoke with ***** and told him the car was a 2022 and only had a little over ****** miles and it didnt need everything he stated. The car had a warranty and Meineke should told my daughter to take it to the dealer. ***** went ahead and supposedly did all this work and I reached out several times because the car wasnt ready when he said it would be. I picked up the car and it was $5025.98, finally after almost a month and the following day the car wouldnt start and did the same thing. I called the ******* dealer and took the car in on Jan 24. 2024. After the tech looked at the car, he stated the work for the wires wasnt dont and the wire were just taped up wrong and nothing was changed out, he didnt need to do a tuneup or change the spark plugs, and other work. He never replaced the harness or the wires that were damaged. Per the ******* Dealer, *******, he had to do all the proper work that wax damaged and that Meineke damaged the car further, meaning they had to fix the mess ***** did in not repairing the car. I was changed $5696.09 otherwise I couldnt get my car.******************************* took advantage of my daughter ****** and never did the work. This is a 2022 ******* Kona that only needed to change damaged wires and harness but ***** charged for a job that wasnt done, please help me recover my money that my Daughter ****** and I paid, ultimately I had to pay both invoices. Meineke should not allowed its Techs to lie and steal customers money for work never done. Again please help with this matter. Thank you

On Dec. 25, 2023, a client over the age of 18 by the name of ************************* entered our location indicating her car would randomly cut off or just would not start. I (*******************************) explained that our diagnostic fee is $139.99, if after diagnostics has been performed and the client wishes to proceed with services, the diagnostic fee is waived. **************** decided to proceed with the diagnostics and upon inspection, we concluded the issue was with her fuel injectors. I informed **************** about the issue with her fuel injectors, and at this time, I stated they may be under warranty and she should check with the dealership first. **************** decided to speak with her grandmother, and they both proceeded to contact the dealership. Upon returning to speak with me, **************** and her grandmother stated the fuel injectors were not covered under the warranty as per her dealership. I asked if they were absolutely sure and stated that they should double check, just to make sure that they are not covered under warranty. **************** and her grandmother replied they understood and they wanted my company to proceed with the work because they did not want to deal with the dealership anymore. I told her OK but only if she was absolutely sure, they replied stating they were sure. At this time, I informed **************** and her grandmother that her car required special parts that needed to be ordered and it would take approximately 1 to 2 weeks. ***************** stated she understood and accepted our services at that moment. Once our mechanics began to work on the car and entered the engine, it was discovered that her wires were torn, and it appeared as if some animal, such as a rodent had chewed on them. Once this discovery was made, I informed **************** of the issue, and at this time she asked if there was anything she can do to prevent this from happening in the future. At this time, I gave her suggestions on ways to prevent this issue from reoccurring in the future. Once the job was completed, **************** came and picked up her car and there were no issues at this time. A few weeks later, **************** gave the shop a call and stated that something was wrong with the car. I informed her that she can bring the car back to the shop and we will take a look at it. Soon after her father came to the shop indicating that he was her father and asked why work was performed on her car. I informed her father that that is what ***************** and her grandmother wanted, the father continues and states her grandmother is a moron and stupid. The father proceeded to state the fuel injectors should have been covered under her warranty, and that he would check on that. I also informed him of what **************** and her grandmother had stated, referring to the fuel injectors, not being covered under warranty. Her father stated the dealership were idiots and he would look into it himself. At this time, I stated that we are more than happy to look at the car again, and if the issue is connected to something that we worked on. It would be warranted. Meaning, if the issue was the result of something this company did, we would fix it at no cost to the client. The car was never brought back in that day, and the next time I heard from **************** was the next day. I received a phone call from **************** stating that she was at an auto shop and the mechanics were saying that her wires were torn. At this time, I reminded **************** that I had informed her. It appeared as if rodents were chewing on her wires. I explain to **************** that she can have the car towed to our facility and the tow cost would be covered by our company. I again reminded her that we would take a look at the car and if the issue was indeed something that our company had did that work would be warranted. **************** and I had agreed upon the work service to her car on several occasions. In addition, I addressed with **************** to check on her warranty several times. I offered to pay for her to back to our facility on multiple occasions and was denied every time. I would also like to note the father was never a part of the original sale and once he entered the conversation, he became extremely aggressive towards myself and staff. In terms of the car, we never had a chance to take a second look to see what the problem was because the client never brought the car back.
