As an Educational institution, due to FERPA regulations we do not discuss any specific personal information about a student in a public forum. The students are welcome to reach out the colleges' Business Office for individual information. However, over the Memorial Holiday a couple of approved checks were rejected by the banks automated system by mistake. When the error was found, after returning from the holiday, those effected where contacted by the college and replacements were issued. These couple of rejections where all resolved.Initial Complaint

In 2010, I came to Northwestern college in hopes of receiving my associates in applied science. It was a 2 year program they offered. I went to school full time until March 2012 when I had my son 9 weeks early by emergency c section. He had a ************** the **** and being very low income young mom, I was unable to return to school. The classes I was enrolled in at the time, were considered dropped. I was charged full prices for those 3 classes. When I was able I did return to school. At the time I just had my second child. I was 3 months into my semester and I was told that I would have to start paying $150 monthly for a gap loan that I had no idea had to be paid out before I completed school. I was also informed there was nothing else they can do to help me, considering I was a single mother. I was withdrawn from the program again, and more classes were put in as dropped. At this point, Northwestern downgraded the program from an associates to a undergrad certificate, after I completed 2 years worth of gen ** classes that were no longer going to be needed to complete my program. I returned when I was able to pay the gap loan off in the amount of $3,000. I completed the 12 months program in which I received a certificate for medical assistant. I am now $38k in debt. I did not receive the education I expected. I felt like I was misinformed from the beginning about pricing and expectations to pay my loans and it exceeding the amount for tuition that I originally was told. I am not pleased with my experience with the school. And the way they handled our classes. I felt like the whole program was rushed and led by students and teachers that just wanted to get out of class early.Business response
