On 12/13/21 I purchased a suede coat w/ fox trim from **********************'s ***** as a Christmas gift for my ****. I paid $2,189 on my Chase credit card. On Christmas day (12/25/21) my **** and I realized the coat did not fit her. On Tuesday, December 28, 2021 we returned to **********************' s store hoping, in good faith, to find a coat for exchange. There were no other sizes of the purchased coat. My **** inspected many other coats and found none suitable. I informed Mr. ********************** (the owner) that I was retuning the coat and requested him to credit back the $2,189 to my Chase credit card. He informed me he would not do that because I had the coat more than 10 days. Of course, from purchase date to Christmas would have been more than 10 days. He never informed me of this requirement at the time of purchase. I would have made the decision NOT to make the purchase because the coat was to be a Christmas gift. Mr. ********************** became hostile and angry when I persisted in wanting him to credit back the $2,189 to my credit card. Mr. **** and I left the store with the coat in an effort to deter any kind of altercation. I am a 82 year old disabled veteran and my **** is a 88 year old cancer patient. I only wanted Mr. ********************** to complete the business procedure I have experienced when I return merchandise to a store. This is the first time we have ever experience a business not simply charging back to my credit card upon return of merchandise. We noticed that this company has an 'F" rating from BBB. Maybe I should have checked before shopping there.
