Called plumber to fix two leaky faucets in my home. They sent out a contracted technician and gave me a price quote. I first assured that I could pay via an electronic payment. At the end of my service I talked with Gateway Licensed Plumbing over the phone using the technicians phone. They told me that I could pay for the service call plus a part of the total quote. I agreed and paid $345.00 using a check. As the technician was unable to take electronic or card payment, something I verified before using this company.I asked for a receipt and the receipt was mailed to me without a return address and the email is ************************************** this was the first sign that something was amiss at Gateway Licensed Plumbers.When the technician arrived again today they informed me that was a service and troubleshooting fee and I still owed the quote I was given on the phone. This was a shock and I sent the technician away.I believe this is a shell company attempting to rip people off as they did not provide a return address and the phone number on the technicians phone was for a different plumbing company entirely.
