We reserved a 12 foot truck for April 24th, 2024. We arrived before 9:00 AM. Two girls told us they didnt have a truck. We saw a 16 foot truck in the lot. They said they didnt have keys. They said they would call us when the 12 foot truck was returned. We waited until 11:30 and got a UHaul truck instead.They charged us $150 as a NO SHOW penalty. We did show up. They didnt have the truck we reserved.I have a voicemail on my phone from them. I guess they had called before we arrived to let us know the truck hadnt been returned. I didnt see it until after we went there. I kept the message.Initial Complaint

Tuesday march 19th I had to go to the location ti switch out a vehicle, I tried calling on multiple occasions but no success as that location just tends to never answer the phone I asked the representative at the desk why they never answer and she tried to give me a card and said to email. Then I asked about gas because they gave me the car on a qt above empty so I had to put gas in when I got the vehicle. The lady at the desk had a attitude and didn't want to give me her name and slammed the keys and paperwork on the desk in my face.Initial Complaint

My husband and I rented a vehicle to drive for vacation . We drove on the expressway headed to our destination and the vehicle began to shake extremely bad. The whole vehicle. We could never speak with anyone in Orland. We called the 800 number and had to drive back towards our home after being on the rode 3 hours towards our destination. We had to drive back to find another budget to pick up another vehicle and return this defective one. Our family is waiting on us and this has added another 3.5 hours to our original time due to this inconvenience. Budget stated we have to pay the bill and if the defect is because of us we will need to pay it. How can we be responsible for renting a vehicle and not knowing it was defective until we drove on the expressway? Only two of us are in the vehicle. We drove the vehicle home on the street. Had we known this would occur, we wouldnt have taken the vehicle and returned it immediately! This had ruined our vacation and Budget are not offering anything for this HUGE inconvenience. We drove with no snow and now turned around to drive back towards our home in snow. I have pictures of what it looks like driving while shaking and driving back towards our home putting us back almost 4 hours added to our time! Very disgusted and angry, The managers and staff are incompetent and does not care how this has ruined our yearly family vacation. The road trip is a nightmare! Because this is dangerous we do not know if we will make it without someone hitting us or us hitting them. The weather and shaking truck is dangerous. We are afraid. If something occurs while we are trying to return this vehicle this complaint is our proof Budget is the cause!!!
