On October 25, 2023, I engaged in a contract with 101 *31363332343839363030* to have them install a chairlift in my building. I did contact my **** for permission to put the chairlift and the entrance stairway up to the second floor of my building, the **** sent me a slip saying that they approved my action.101 *31363332343839363030* was informed that I had sought and gained approval from the * O **** Before checking with local ordinances as a local contractor 101 *31363332343839363030* did not seek proper permits from the municipality I live in, ***********,, ** ********* *31363332343839363030* informed me they would install the chair as soon as possible which they did. Shortly there after I was informed from my *OA that no local licenses or permits were obtained and that 101 *31363332343839363030* had installed the chair illegally. 101 *31363332343839363030* and I agreed that the chair could not remain and because of their failure to get proper permits as a licensed contractor the chair had to be removed. The cost of the installation of this chair was over $5600 101 *31363332343839363030* Told me that they would reimburse me and remove the chair. They did send an installation person to remove the chair. The reimbursement however was $1300 short of the original cost of the chair and installation.My position is since 101 *31363332343839363030* is licensed contractor and I assumed since they are in the same city as I that they were aware they needed license and permits. Now they are refusing to give me $1300 of the $5600 I gave them saying somehow it was my fault for telling them the * away approve the project. I am seeking the rest of the $5600 from 101 *31363332343839363030*.Customer response
