This is my second time in 2 months filing the same complaint. I have not been able to live in my home at 904 s ******** ******** since Monday, August 10, 2020. A tree fell on top of the front half of my house. The roof/attic, 2 second floor bedrooms, front porch and doors, and living had a lot of damage. Minor damage to 3rd bedroom, dining room, kitchen. Bathroom and basement ok. I had sustained a traumatic brain injury 3 days prior--August 7th 2020. I explained my injury and cognitive deficits to State Farm Agent, *********************************. On his recommendation I hired *************************** with CAT 5 Restoration to do the construction repairs. I also told **** of my brain injury and my need for him to explain everything simply and put things in writing. From August 2020--May 2021, all that was done was to board up 1/2 of my front entrance. The other half was covered with a sheet of plastic and was open to vermin. The charge for 1 PC of plywood and a sheet of plastic--$890.19 2 tarps ($1950) were put on the roof and failed-, causing more damage as the porch roof funneled rain water into the basement. **** disputed total costs with State Farm adjusters. **** and State Farm agreed to an amount February 2021. I was told the weather in February was too unpredictable and it would be March or April when it would start. I was put off until May 2021 when the contents of the house were moved into storage. Nothing else was done until Sept. I didn't know subcontractors would be used. Demo was srarted on walls and ceilings. Expensive lighting fixtures and fans were not taken down and were all damaged. No care was taken to protect anything. October they took off the top of the house off for reframeing. Once again the tarps were put up incorrectly and failed. The whole second floor was open. It stormed and water flooded through the entire 2 story house, walls, floors into the basement. The house is now gutted,a shell. I can't get**** to move on ANYTHING. He's gotten almost $75 k so far.
