On 2/8/24 my healthy 6-year-old female *************** named Baby sustained injuries while under the care of *********************************** at her place of business "Dominique's Dog Grooming." At pick up it was noted that multiple nails were coated in Kwik stop styptic powder (3 on left front paw, 3 on right front paw, 1 back left paw). Upon arriving back home Baby was limping and unable to bear any weight on her front paws along with other symptoms; difficulty breathing, painful neck, leading to loss of appetite, and severe dehydration causing the need for emergency veterinary intervention. Supporting Vet documentation affirms that dog's health condition is attributed to trauma/pain endured. I believe that the groomer's negligence caused harm to my dog and I am seeking compensation for Veterinary expenses totaling $392.00, incurred as a result.Business response

Hello,
******* was a new client her dog was overdue for grooming services, and the complaints that she has a result of that. I was never contacted about these issues. She expressed her complaints on social media instead. We do not compensate for vet bulls when there is no communication or when there is no neglect on our part. I tried to communicate with the women and was met with hostility. When others joined in on social media to explain that overgrown nails and overgrown faces can cause the issues she was having. She immediately turn off comments on the post. I had a slew of groomers, contact me with questions and concerns about this specific client, and if they should be leery of her. To which I did not respond, but it just goes to show the actual situation at hand. Her husband communicated something entirely different as far as haircut than the wife did. I found out after the grooming session she wanted much shorter despite the husband wanting her longer and she sent a photo AFTER the grooming had already been started
