Aweful. Option for zero stars? They contacted me regarding a debt that wasn't owed. It was clearly a billing issue from Duly health care - also terrible. I asked for evidence of the debt, and the statement they sent clearly showed the item was double billed. I disputed it, and instead of washing the debt they reported it to the credit bureau with the following status: Seriously past due date / assigned to attorney, collection agency, or credit grantor's internal collection department. Chasing this was a huge waste of my time personally, it damaged my credit, and the error was on the billing side to begin with.Review from Kirsten G

I am being contacted by this company even though I have no outstanding medical balances or debt anywhere. They will not stop calling or texting me even though I believe they have the wrong person. I have even confirmed with my medical office that I have no outstanding balances. I have tried texting back that I have no outstanding medical balances and they do not respond. I have been trying to get a hold of them for a balance I owe and I was told I cant pay with a payment plan. I cant just whip out 600$ or 700$ to settle. They wont even give me an email back. I have attempted to call and have left voicemail as well. the last time I had called was back in January to have someone email me to work something out. Those calls back in June and the multiple calls attempted to reach me are during my working hours. I work 7am-5pm I am unable to take calls while I am working. Thats when I was called back in June I asked about a payment plan with you so it can just be taken out and I was told no that was not an option. Thats why I have been trying to email about my account. So I can respond during different hours and work something out with you. I would like to resolve this.Review from Laura J

They have been harassing my husband and I about separate accounts for months. In my husbands case, he paid for the full amount back in April and it is now November and they will not leave us alone. It is not our responsibility or our fault that they have the worst methods for conforming payment, and their staff does not answer questions head on, they always beat around the question or answer questions I didnt ask. They have the name on our bill wrong, they never mailed me a statement. They said if I don't pay in 60 days it will be reported to my credit, but not sure how that is legal if you don't even have the right name on my bill. They said they e-mailed statements and I never got them. I asked for them to provide me those emailed statements and I never received them. I asked for them to fix the name on the bill to match the grantor, they said the did and I never received a revised statement. When we paid the bill they never provided a receipt and said it was e-mailed but again their service never sent a confirmation. This is an incompetent service I would not recommend using them for anything. The purposely don't mail bills so you or payment confirmations so they can report debt to your credit. And your automated response to theses complaints does you no justice. You should be put out of business.Review from James C

Being that the name of this company is "Medical Business Bureau," we can assume that they're very aware of the time limitations when it comes to reporting a medical debt to a credit bureau. When a medical debt is sold to a collections agency, you legally have an additional 180 days from the time it is sold before the collections agency can report that medical debt to the credit bureaus. This company knows this - it's common sense in this industry, especially when you specialize in medical debts.Still, after less than 60 days, Medical Business Bureau reported one of my medical debts to Experian. I'll add that all of my medical debts are still undergoing insurance adjusting, which is why I haven't paid them. A debt for roughly $1,200.00 was split into three different debts, which was reported as three different late payments. Two of those were for roughly $300.00, and the third is for roughly $600.00. I immediately challenged all three of them, and within hours the two smaller debts were removed from my credit report. As of 04/22/2022, the third still remains.I am going to play ball and pay your company when my insurance cases are completed. And I've reached out to Advent Health to address this issue that they've helped to create with you. I am going to pay my debt and there is absolutely no question to that fact of life. But if you want to play hard ball and behave in a completely immoral and unprofessional manner, we can. I have taken my proof. If you do not abide by the laws that you must abide by, you will hear from an attorney next month once the final dispute is completed on Experian. I am not asking the world of you when I ask you to handle this case in a professional and decent manner. And if you don't, I will reciprocate the same negative energy that you inflict onto me. Do not go to ************** in Island Lake!!! My 1st visit he lied and told me we would talk about a referral to a Chiropractor on our next visit which was scheduled a week later. Then I found out he doesn't believe in chiropractors and refused to give the referral. When I needed a referral for physical therapy after having back surgery. I called the office and explained that I had the order from the surgeon and needed the referral for my HMO insurance to go for therapy. The said they would take care of it. When I called a couple of days later for the status of the referral I talked to ******** which said she was in charge of referrals. She said they have never done a referral for physical therapy and it was not needed. I explained that the physical therapy location advised that it is necessary. ******** was so rude and unprofessional. She hung up on me twice while I was trying to explain to her what she needed to do for me to get the medical care I need!!! Of course she refused to let me talk to an office manager. They make you pay for your visit before you even see the doctor then charged me for a visit I had already paid for. I was in for a sick visit a few days before my surgery and the Dr told me I had to come back a couple of days later for my pre-op visit. He said it had to be a separate visit for the insurance to pay for it. When I went back, he put the stethascope on my chest and said ok to go. Really? This is the worst ************ I have ever been in. It has just been 1 bad experience after another. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I had some medical bills I owed on and was sent to this collection agency; I do understand getting sent to one, that's not my issue. I never received a letter or an e-mail about getting sent to MBB, I just started receiving random texts and phone calls (what kind of company does not do mail outs?); I had to ****** the company to see if it was legit. I have been paying my monthly minimum for 6 months, all with only screenshots to confirm I have made payments, and all of a sudden a week or so ago I started getting phone calls daily, if not multiple times a day, while I was at work; never left a message on my voicemail or any random texts. I finally was able to answer when I was at home yesterday and some guy named *******, who had all my information, called to say that I could do a settlement for less than what I still owe. I told him that I did not have the money currently, but may have it after payday this week but would have to think about it. He then insistently asked for my credit card number or my bank information.
