DATE OF TRANSACTION On 10/8/2021 Y-Tech Heating & Air Conditioning installed a ********************* Boiler in my apartment building. See WM Product Registration supporting document. AMOUNT OF MONEY PAID BUSINESS Initially, I paid Y-Tech Heating & Air Conditioning Distributor $12,600 on 10/8/2021 for purchase and installation of Weil McLain Boiler. In addition, I paid Y-Tech Heating & Air Conditioning Distributor an additional $2500 2/9/2023 for labor charge to remove non-working WM Boiler and install a questionable new/used Peerless Boiler. See Y-Tech Proposal/Contract supporting document. WHAT THE BUSINESS COMMENTED TO PROVIDE Per Y-Tech Heating & Air Conditioning Contract the ********************* boiler came with Warranties for 2 year Parts, 20 years Heat Exchanger, and 1 year Labor. NATURE OF DISPUTE On 2/2/2023 the WM boiler was 1 years old when it stopped working due to a water leak. On 2/8/2023 ********************* refused to honor Boiler Warranties, their ******************************** claiming it was a faulty installation problem and not a boiler problem per owner of Y-Tech Heating & Air Conditioning *********************. ********************* disagreed with their assessment saying the water leak was obviously a faulty Heat Exchanger problem because this was a closed system by design. The boiler showed no problem for 1 years. WHETHER OR NOT BUSINESS TRIED TO RESOLVE PROBLEM On 2/8/2023 ***********************, owner of Y-Tech Heating & Air Conditioning, offered to give me a different furnace at no charge, installed the next day, if I agreed to pay an additional $2,500 labor costs for removal of non-working ********************* Boiler and installation of new/used Peerless Boiler Model #GM-07-SPRK. I agreed because the apartment tenants were a week without heat. This complaint should be removed since ********************* - owner of Y-Tech Heating & Air purchased at his own expense a new (not used) Peerless boiler and installed in the home of *************** within a day. ********************* would not warranty their product and when the boiler was taken apart, it was evident that the boiler was faulty, not the installation. *************** only had to pay $2,500 for the labor installation. ********************* had a 1 year labor warranty on the boiler and that was no longer covered under the contract since it was 1 1/2 years before it began leaking. We no longer do business with ********************* since they did not make good on their warranty. We handled this complaint already and did not know there was an issue with our account.
*************** said she was going to file a complaint with ********************* and not us. I think she meant this complaint for them.
