I DO NOT recommend this busines, especially if your dress is satin. After she set the length, I asked her about bringing up the halter up by a few inches so it didn’t dive so deep on my chest. She pinned the halter in a place where I felt comfortable and was happy with. . I was charged $130 for this and she agreed on a date and time for pick up. 1. The dress was not ready at the agreed-upon time. No big deal, I still had time before my event. I went to pick it up and I was shocked. First of all, as you can see from the pictures, my dress got snagged. And not in a way that is very small. Secondly, she didn’t alter the halter the way she pinned it and the way we discussed. She said she didn’t take it up to the length I wanted because of her opinion of where the V cut would hit my stomach. I wanted the halter brought up so the V would hit about and inch and a half higher. She never discussed this with me during our fitting and never called me to tell me she was going to not alter it as we discussed because of her opinion on where the V would hit the waist. She refused to take any responsibility for the snags and kept arguing with me about not altering the top properly. I brought the dress into the shop fresh out of its bag and in perfect condition. There were NO snags when I dropped it off. Again and again, she claimed there was no way it could have happened because she only altered the bottom and the top halter (that wasn’t even altered properly). We immediately went to ***** ********* and one of their employees examined it. This gentleman was WONDERFUL. He told us the reason the snags were there was because the seamstress did not properly protect the fabric because he saw other small snags on the dress I hadn’t noticed yet. Without covering it with plastic or another protectant, when she did her alterations, she ran the satin against something that was snagging it. He said it was damaged beyond repair. We were supposed reused a refund.
