I have been receiving calls with a message stating that they were calling from ERA and to call them, naturally when I think of ERA, I think of Equal Right Amendments, therefore thinking they were some kind of political group calling. I for some reason called them from work today after receiving another call, and was going to tell them to take my name off their list. I was surprised to hear that they said they were a collection agency. When I got to speak to a lady, she was very rude, and because I wouldn't give her my phone number she wouldn't give me any information, I told her they should have my number as they were the ones calling me, she just told me I would not be getting any information from her. I feel that if they are calling my phone number, they would have my name associated with it, which I was giving her my name. Is this a legit place and how can I get my information without giving them to much of my personal information. I know I have had some of my information compromised, and I would like to figure out what is going on. As far as I know all my bills are current and shouldn't have anything that would have been sent to collections as I hadn't received any kind of notice.
