We hired M. Bogard Construction for Kitchen remodel and outside Pavillon. On Aug the 4th he came over and we told him what we wanted done. He said no problem. Came back with contract. Paid him 3,500.00 1st time on 8/24/2023. He said he had to get the wood to start the job. At 1st he called back when I text or called him. There was always an excuse because he couldn't make it. When he did say he was coming gave us excuses when he didn't show up. We thought he was just busy. Then he came and put my oven in. Said he'd be back Friday to tear down wall. finally, after calling several times. Two guys showed up torn down wall. He couldn't come back until like Thursday/ Friday of next week. By that time, he came and needed more money for pavilion this time it was 2800.00 half of what we owed him. Since that date he has given us excuses, no calling back, and no text. When he does call, he never never comes through with his word. you cannot believe him. He called up Friday and said (after our several attempts to get ahold of him) he will Call Monday. I called several times and text finally he called back and said he will be here Wed meet 9:00.am. HE never showed up. said he was at another job. He will be there in less than an hour and he'll call after he leaves the bank. no show no call. he never bought any wood. he never called Juile for 2weeks after he said he did. Not good. Word by mouth is not the way to hire someone
