      I purchased glasses from Bard Optical in Washington, IL on January 8th, 2025. During my interaction with the Staff at the particular location, I had to make over 3 separate visits to have glasses adjusted in which didn't have nose pads and were simply adjusting the ear pieces. The Staff 3 separate times broke my glasses. 1st time was on the 1st Initial Pick-up, I had blue frames, they broke them adjusting them and put in a black frame, then those were broke lastly while being adjusted. I eventually was restyled but Bard Optical clearly doesn't know how to adjust glasses. Even after the Re-style, they didn't get them adjust correctly and hurt behind my ears really bad and press on the bridge of my nose. I am seeking to speak to an Area Manager or Director of Operations, **** ****.

       I am rejecting this response because: Today is March 3rd, 2025 and In Mr. ****s’s response he stated he was going to contact me within a day or two and has failed to do so.  I am requesting this to be moved to arbitration as Bard Optical has failed to resolve my concerns via through Direct Contact and the BBB.

      The glasses are cheap, flimsy, and the lenses are not the right prescription. This is the second time they have made my lenses in the wrong prescription. (Done once years ago and they made me new lenses) I had forgotten that experience..until i tried on these and could not see out of them. I have never been treated like this and I have never complained to bbb before. I *need new glasses that are the right prescription!

      This patient brought in a prescription from an outside doctor.  If there is an issue with the prescription not being correct, the patient needs to contact the doctor who issued the prescription.  If there are issues with a frame, the patient can return to the office to discuss the matter with the Office Manager.  He is happy to help.

      paid over 300.00 for the darkest tint on my bi focals went back 3 times they were tested and i was told they were the darkest available i just needed too be in enough direct sunlight. i went to this store because of discrimination at their other store, thats why i believe they misled me too get the wron tint because i filed a complaint on decatur illinois other store. but they told me it was the darkest i could get till i went back again as its getting spring time and sun was again blinding me. this time i had a new girl i feel wasnt in on the deception and told me there was no tint on my glasses i want the tint package i paid for! without discrimination

      This patient ordered photochromatic lenses from ***********.  He returned complaining they would not get darker.  This product is widely used and is the darkest product available on the market.  We, in no way, discriminated against this patient or any other.  He chose the product he wanted, and we provided it to him.  We are sorry he is disappointed.

      My Mother is in a nursing home, glasses had broken and she was taken to Bard Optical on July 24th to be examined and fitted for new glasses. She has Medicaid and was told the glasses are made in Dixon Il. Correctional Facility. I have made numerous calls to Bard with no response from people who said they were checking into it. Bard says they get no response from DOC re: glasses. I attempted to resolve this yesterday with the store manager which again no one knows anything. My mother will be 88 on May 12th. This I feel is totally unacceptable. I asked for the rx for the glasses which the manager said I can’t take anywhere else because Medicaid has already allowed the one pair and has most likely already been charged to the state. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated on behalf of my Mother. The store is located on North Water St. Decatur,Il. Thank you

      They refuse to release my prescription while waiting for payment as I wait for insurance to reimburse me.
