We purchased a refrigerator in October 2021 and had it delivered November 6 2021 along with a stove. We paid $1000 for both pieces and were given a 2 year warranty. The refrigerator failed on 4/7. We had to take time off work to have a tech come in-which are not available until after 4:30 pm according to the owner ********* ******. They ended up bringing us a different refrigerator. We replaced $350 in groceries out of pocket as my renters insurance has a $500 deductible. The second refrigerator started failing Monday. We have now lost more groceries. We contacted Mr. ****** and he had my roommate, **** *****, and I unplug the refrigerator several times for 20 minutes at a time to see if would reset. It did not. This second refrigerator has lasted 5 weeks. Mr. ****** stated he can’t sent a tech until after 4:30’again. Our work hours vary. We are not able to be here at 4:30 pm to let a tech in and have no one else who can. I very nicely asked him to refund $500 for the refrigerator and he says they don’t do cash refunds. He stated that he brought both refrigerators in working order to us and that’s why the warranty. An appliance under warranty should last more than 6 weeks. Two refrigerators in a six month period is unreasonable. $500 is fair to be returned as his warranty is not standing up. $500 would reimburse us for the groceries lost and our lost wages from taking off work to have the first refrigerator replaced.
