I lodged my 2 dogs, a3 yr old registered Lab, who has a history of seizures, but had not had one in over a year, and is on medication, and a 9 heat old terrier, mix, on Sunday-Tuesday the 27th of June. I gave the facility instructions, meds, and food for the time they would be there. I picked them up as scheduled, no problem. On Wednesday, my Lab had a seizure, (one after a year is still pretty good). I did the same thing the following week, only difference was I put his meds in a plastic day planner with the days of the week printed on each compartment. When I picked them up this time, I specifically asked if he got his meds, and was told Yes. I put my Lab in the truck, checked the day planner, and saw that NO MEDS were given, all weekend. I went back in to get the smaller dog, she has long hair, and I told the person about the medication not given, she said Well, he said he gave it. I took my terrier to the truck, and when I placed her on my lap for the ride home, I immediately felt moisture on my jeans from the hair on her legs and belly, and saw that she was dripping wet. with URINE! The first thing I had to do when I got home was bathe my dog, she was soaked with urine, she had to have been lying in it. These two incidents are enough to make me know that neither of my pets were cared for in what would be a reasonable manner, on two separate occasions. I will never place my pets with this facility again, and want other unsuspecting pet owners to be aware of this malpractice. It was only after the second visit, that I connected the seizure he had after visit #1, with the meds not given after visit #2, and the condition of my terrier, just answered the question I had, as to the expectation I had, and paid for, vs the actual NON care my animals received. I am more than upset, I feel violated, my pets cannot speak for themselves, and I feel SO sorry that they were put through this, it is totally unacceptable.
