      Brought my cat in due to vomiting; it was found he had an instruction and we paid $2500 to resolve it. That was one week ago. I sent photos of his incision area over because I had concerns and was told the puffiness was his pooch and swelling. This morning I picked my cat up and pus exploded all over the floor. Took him back and was told it'll be another $1k to resolve this infection. He was given an antibiotic injection prior to surgery to prevent this. I'm so upset because I just feel there's so much incompetency at this location and I haven't located a local vet accepting new patients so I feel like I'm stuck going here. This past November I brought my dog in because she was doing weird things with her mouth. They weren't sure what was going on, never looked in her mouth and sent us home. After a week it got worse, took her back and it was oral cancer. They missed the oral cancer bc they didn't look in her mouth. When Dr **** was more involved this place had a chance of being a great vet. I've not seen him in years and its really gone down hill in that time but still charging high prices. I'm so disappointed.

      We care about our pets wellness so much that we spend $200 per month for Petly plans that we are never able to use because its nearly impossible to get an appointment. It seems the only way we can get our pets seen is to come in as a walk-in, which we were forced to do Sunday and then again last night. Last nights experience was one for the record books. We were initially told it would be a 2-3 hour wait. We got to the hospital shortly after 6:00 in the evening, and waited in the main waiting room for roughly two hours. Not once were we provided any updates on our Winnies status. We were finally taken back to the exam room (which is more like a smaller waiting room), where we waited for another 4 hours. In the interim, we asked staff three separate times for an update. Each time we were told that there were more critical cases ahead of us, which I completely understand and empathize with. When we finally saw the doctor and voiced our frustrations we were told we should have said something, and they would have let us go home to wait on our girls prognosis. This is the second experience where I was made to feel like I was being unreasonable. I don't think expecting proper communication and common decency to be unreasonable. As an animal lover, I am appalled by the treatment at this facility. We've been clients for well over 10 years, even referring people to your facility. I thought the incentive of building this brand new state of the art facility was to better serve the community. If that was truly your organizations goal, you are failing miserably. I am absolutely devastated and livid about the way we were treated. I'm hoping that this post grabs the attention of your staff and other clients. Obviously voicing my concerns & frustrations to your staff is a waste of time. I am absolutely broken hearted over this. Animal Medical Center of Plainfield, you need to do better.

      Absolutely horrible to the point even some good doctors leaving! Phones never answeredhow about an answering machine that your staff can check between helping customers? Now theres a thought! And do not use short staff as excuse when I am sitting there waiting to check out and staff are talking and goofing off when they could be checking phone messages and responding if you even had a machine! No signs in place posted about price changes and when you try to make appt. (Cheapest) they always say we are booked but you can just walk in HOWEVER they do not tell you walk in is more expensive! They often will not let you observe them treating animal..whywell I have had some bad experiences and I understand some stuff needs to go in back but my animals traumatized after visits and prior vet they did not have this issue..makes you wonder! Deceptive practices. Poorly trained and rude staff except for one person ********! You all need customer service lessons from her! I wonder if they will charge you for a doctors exam for a euthanasia since that seems about par! Wait till you see how much they charge you to do an ear swab and look for mites under microscope!
