We hired ***** to seal our house, fix a step and cracks by back door and caulk windows. They missed windows or did a quick job , they still leaked. Blamed it on windows installation. The concrete work cracked after 4-5 months a piece popped out, Told us integrity is still good. Won't fix it. Went to layer, ***** sent a check $4-500 not sure. I refused it. He ignored my calls and texts, that's why a lawyer, but I couldn't afford to continue. Would never recommend

      Letter is attached.

This letter is in response to a complaint recieved by a customer of ours,
****** *******. We were hired to caulk existing windows. We discussed
with her that the windows were improperly installed. The structure is a
concrete building, not stick built. She did not want the windows replaced, just
caulked. I discussed with her that because they are improperly installed that
leaking can still be an issue. The concrete crack was a patch job, we poured
the concrete thick because it was a "patch" and we poured new steps. They
were getting ready to bring in new appliances. I told her that they needed to
be careful hauling in appliances, this is why a piece popped out. I sent them
$450 for lawyer fees. We hold our work at a very high standard. I did the job
they asked and did it to the best of the situation that was existing.

I am rejecting this response because: I am not asking for anything about the windows. We fixed that. The concrete is the problem. The chunk did not pop out at step.  The chunk is at least 2' from step.  The concrete  cracked about months after installation.  The original request was for ***** to fix cracks around step. We added the extension of a step while we were talking. I have cracks in the same place hd repaired.
