I have been a discover card member for many years. I went through two back to back hard times. They worked with me to keep my card active and did not take advantage of me. I was able to pay the balance and keep my payments up only because they were patient and set a low fixed payment option for me. Another bank did not and ended up in collections. I opened up an account this this bank back on June 21,2024 and I went to used mobile checking and of course they set a limit of the amount of the check. My limit was set at $500.00 , the check I went to deposit using mobile deposit was for $300.00 . After I went to a temp to deposit it into my account it didn't work . So I was told to mail the check to there PO BOX address. So it went out that day and it's so funny that they said it takes up to 14 days till maybe my check would get to them 25 days later and they claim my check never showed up yet . I would believe by now that it would be there there by now. And phone calls and emails to them haven't worked. And by the way this company Discover bank is owned by ******* who should be investigated tooReview from Monique M

yes, very bad served, then have been many mistakes with my accounts and event charged a fee for their mistake. Really difficult form the to resolve, the card is not the safest anyone can charge in your account the dispute department is the worst... I think this is the next bank is going to fail. *** talk about CD I open a CD with them, to give back the money they were giving weird history to schedule to deposit the money back to my accountReview from John B

This "Bank" has a policy of delaying i.e., posting payments, for up to 2 business days if you pay online (Weekends/holidays are not business days so if you send your online payment on on a Saturday it may not post until Tuesday). The reason for this appers to be that they can charge you an additional $30 for a "late fee" if your payment is not made on it's due date. After speaking with Discover, to question the "late fee(s)" that I have been charged with several times, I was told that if I wanted a payment to post, on the day that I made it, I would have to call them and talk with a rep to make the payment even if I'm making to payment a day in advance. Otherwise, I could be charged the "late fee". Warning, if you have an account with ********************** make your payment at least 5 days in advance of the payment due date!!!!Review from Andrea G

********, Terrible, steal from their members. Do not do business with them. I have been a member of discover since 2007. My last payment on June 7 did not go through. I did not get any notification until I received a letter in the mail June 16 that my account was closed due to non payment. I have called several times now. The closure of an account cannot be redone. The representative let it slip that they no longer offer business accounts. But they were so sorry but nothing could be done. Allegedly he, ********************* of the *************** was the highest representative in customer service. I have over $1500 in rewards but I have no part in deciding what to do with my rewards. Yes they will give them back to me in some way but cannot tell me how and I have no say in it.Review from Robert D

I applied and received a credit card. A week after receiving the card I received an unprofessional, unsolicited call from Discover requesting a copy of my ID. Told me I should verify the authenticity of the call by calling the number on the card. I refused and canceled the card. I applied for the card, they completed a credit check and granted the card and when they pull a stunt like this. Why do they need my ID. Sounds like possible fraud. I tried to transfer 100 into this account a week ago, i am disabled and they are forcing me to wait until 2 more weeks to take my money off of hold. And i am highly enraged about this. My money is not theirs to be making these kinds of decesions with. And it's wrong. I was never given any warning about any hold, i was told my money would be avaliable on the 27th. Now its not till the 11th. So they basically stole $100 from me in my eyes. Ill never bank with a big bank again. Its nothing but a money stealing scam.Review from Sydni L

I received a phone call from Discover in 2022 Stating that if I would pay a lump sum, my debt would be erased. I was supposed to have 12 payments drafted out of my account for 12 months and then I would be debt free. For some reason, two payments did not come out of my account. Nobody can tell me why this happened and nobody can tell me why discover continued to take money from me, but still sent my account to collections. I am now being sued by a debt collector for the total amount of my credit card debt. When I try to call Discover and ask them all these questions why they continue to take money out of my account and why the two payments didnt come out to begin with. They cant help. me they refused to help me. They said I had to speak with the attorney. The attorney also could not tell me any of the questions I had asked. I feel like Ive been scammed and robbed and discover bank is a criminal. 1000 out of 10 do not recommend.Review from Nahbeel R

I get a notification that my account was frozen and to call customer service. When I do, they said my account was closed and I will be getting my money back but couldnt offer me no reason to why my account was closed. No fraud, never overdrafted, nothing
